This is what I expect from Elway.

No innovation. Just go with the familiar. This is the Dan Snyder approach.

Elway simply does not have the experience to handle the job long term. He admitted as much before he was hired:

I'm not interested in being a general manager. I don't have that kind of experience to be able to pick those players day in and day out and such."

I would be very nervous if I were a Broncos fan and they were going to rebuild under Elway.

Maybe. Short term at best.

They are already short-term because of Manning. It all in the end comes back to his health.

I'm kind of interested in this scenario because of Kubiak and Manning. The offense they run is essentially Manning's but Kubiak is a really good OC. The Ravens offense looked pretty good and Flacco was really good. I still think they got robbed against the Patriots. I find that dimension is more intriguing than the Wade one, because Wade will probably come in and do what he always does and that is create a good defense. He's got some good pass rushers. I think that this defense will be more aggressive because of the fact that they have a high-powered offense and Wade can trust it to cover if the defense gives up a big play every now and then.

Amazing that he wants to coach for a team that fired him. Where is his pride?
