ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --The NFL is dealing with another case of alleged domestic violence following the arrest of John Bowlen, son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen.

He was taken into custody Wednesday night after police in Glendale, Colorado, responded to a dropped 911 call in which a Bowlen's girlfriend told dispatchers her address and then said, "Hurry, please help!" The call was then disconnected.

When police called the number back, Bowlen answered the phone, saying, "This is the owner of the Denver Broncos. I am sorry, okay?"

The 29-year-old works for the Broncos in marketing. He's also a candidate to take over the team's ownership from his father, who has Alzheimer's disease.

"Yeah. Yeah. This is ridiculous -- I haven't done nothing wrong," Bowlen said. Later in the call, he referred to himself as the "blood of the city."

"As blood of the city, I am telling you right now, nothing is wrong and she is leaving my house, okay?"

I predict no way drugs were involved with this...

I'm sure the league loves seeing the Broncos logo on his shirt in his mugshot.

I bet him and Jack Elway ( John's son ) are close friends. Jack has a high reputation for being a snobby, cocky a**.

*I live within the area and we are the same age* . Jack had a story about him kicking his girl out of a moving vehicle too. Great kids of the owners.

I don't blame them for arresting him just for jacking his head back that far. No one wants to see your nosehairs son.

"She's leaving now and I have nothing, there's nothing to be said at all," Bowlen told a police dispatcher.

"Okay, but you understand that a female calling asking for help on 911 is kind of a big deal," the dispatcher responded.

"Yeah. Yeah. This is ridiculous -- I haven't done nothing wrong," Bowlen said. Later in the call, he referred to himself as the "blood of the city." "As blood of the city, I am telling you right now, nothing is wrong and she is leaving my house, okay?"

"Okay, then maybe you need help escorting her out," the dispatcher said.

"No, no, no, no no. Trust me," Bowlen answered. "...And I am, I am sober. I am a man of my word."
I keep reading or hearing the 911 transcripts or recordings of these alleged domestic abuse cases and have come to the realization that I couldn't be a 911 dispatcher. I don't have the temperment...

Me: "Someone called 911 from your phone. Don't know what's up but you and me are going to keep talking."

Me: "Officers will be arriving soon to see how she's doing. So you're Bowlen's kid, huh? I've seen him on television. Small world."

Nope. Don't think I'm the right kinda person for that job.
