Broncos releasing Randy Gregory

This is the part that's amazing to me. They gave him a 5 year $70 million deal and decided to throw it in the trash after paying him $27 million for just 10 games?!?!?!?!
What did he do, or who did he piss off?
Sean Payton was not part of the group who made that decision to sign Randy

Did he have a bad pass rush rate? I honestly only saw him one game and he dominated the Commanders but he typically does. His biggest games have come against them for some reason.
PFF, which seems to be the goto when bashing or exalting a player has his grade at 44.7 whereas DLaw grade is 93 and Dorance Armstrong 87.4

Lol I didn't even know that dude did that. It all makes sense now.
Oh for sure. I don't even see him post much anymore I honestly thought he got a lifetime ban here. It was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen. Most people....most humans were in the middle of getting all the news coming in and then we find out his daughter was on the plane with him.....that didn't stop this guy though from saying he deserved it. Odd behavior.

I mean I can't do that because for whatever reason PFF doesn't like Diggs and never has and I don't quite get why. But I am pretty confident that Armstrong and D-Law are better players than him at this point lol.

I agree. He wouldn't start of course but fresh legs late in the game off the edge would be nice to have on reserve.
If he didn't want to play a reduced role in Denver, why would that be a good idea to expect it in Dallas?

He'll find some DE starved team that will need him to play.

Cowboys have more visibility than any team in the league. A part-time gig worked out well for Robert Quinn. He could "rehab" his image here under Dan Quinn and then move on to another team willing to take a chance. See what I did there? Small chance especially if the Tweet is right and there are several teams interested. Of course if you can get money now, take it but I hope the Cowboys make the pitch.

i don’t see the fit in Dallas. There are plenty of bad defenses around the league where he can fit in and continue to tease with his occasional production.

Don't the Broncos run a 3-4 defense? If so, I don't think that is Gregory's best fit playing the OLB. He seems more like a DE in a 4-3 in my opinion. Even if he does find his best fit, the ceiling isn't that high for him. He is what he is. Unless injuries start plaguing the DE position in Dallas, there is no point in bringing him back.

They clearly didn't want to sign him though if they added clauses to his deal. Why would he sign a deal that had clauses about suspension when he's been suspended his whole career lol?
According to the reports at the time. The Cowboys insert that language into all their player contracts but rarely enact the clause.
If they didn't want him they would not have offered him a contract at all, but they offered 27 million dollars. So they clearly wanted him.

Yeah we know what "reasons" you hate him. I'm not going to go back and forth with you. Same reasons you hate him are the same reasons you gloated when Kobe died on that airplane crash. I honestly thought you got a lifetime ban from here after that charade.
I did not hate Gregory. I had contempt for him.

I disagree. When have they ever wanted someone and they didn't get them? They did the saem crap with Von Miller. Offered him a deal and come to find out it was a deal he wasn't gonna accept. So did they REALLY want Von?

You can disagree all you like, but you're just wrong.
Nothing wrong with being wrong. Hell I was wrong too.
They didn't offer him $27 Million.
Both sides had actually already agreed to terms on a 5 yr $70 million contract until Gregory backed out at the last second, because Denver offered the exact same deal without the suspension language.

When someone offers you that kind of money they want you.
It doesn't mean they will chop of their left nut too just to prove it.
