Only played 3 games in 2019 and injured his knee. Opted out in 2020. Torn Achilles working out on his own.
NFLPA and Broncos in a pickle now. NFLPA telling players to not report to facility and work out on own. Teams not obligated if player injured himself working out outside facility. $10M possibly down the drain on top of the money he forfeited last year.
Will the Broncos go cheap and refuse to pay? Or do the Broncos buy some good will with the players and pay him. If they do, $10M flushed from the cap and they need to find another player.
Maybe they should have drafted Slater instead of Surtain. They didn’t need CBS since they signed one or two in FA. Too late now. But, they have a real GM, so all is good.
