After the Giants loss, alot of posters on here have had a pessimistic view of the future (myself included). I think this is perfectly understandable, I mean the Giants kicked the Boyz in the nads on openning night and disrespected our stadium by trashing the lockerroom and we go up there and 3/4 of the team acted like they just wanted to go home.

Most of us are like, ********* ???

However, after watching the Dennis vs. Brookings incedent and listening to the audio of Spears and Jolley, I have renewed optimism for this team. For the first time, the players actually got mad about something. The players are pissed that Wade is being made out to be a total joke and that Wade was suppossed to call them a bunch of losers.

Wade defended his players and for the first time the players actually look like they give a dam if they win or lose. If you are a player in that lockerroom and you see your coach at a presser and the reporters are laughing (you can actually hear laughs in the background of the video) and the reporters are trying to goat the coach into calling his players losers by asking "what the hell has this group ever won?"

If you are a player in that lockerroom, you dont think this motivates you to play out of your mind? You just watch your coach go to bat for you and defend you and tell the laughing reporters that you are not a loser, are you then going to go out and half *** it and prove the media right?

I really think we have a good shot to win some games here fellas, I would not be surprised if we actually run the table.......Something I would have laughed at yesterday.

These are the types of things that ignite the catalyst in men to achieve. Let's just hope we aren't overly aggressive to a negative on Sunday.

Great post, and a great interpretation of what went down. Let's hope we see that fire against the Chargers.

I hope it does.

I took the brooking thing as him standing up for the team.

Wade brings that crap on himself, but it was nice to see someone standing up for the team like that.

I'm laughing at the idea now.

That Brooking got upset at a reporter grilling his loser head coach changes nothing. If getting embarrassed in GB didn't change anything, I don't see how this is making any difference. The homer crowd had excuses then, just like they do now.

And supposedly fans and players were going to be pumped after seeing Columbo rough up Jacobs after the first game. Or to get revenge on Eli after he autographed the visitor's lockerroom. Yet what we saw Sunday was just an ugly replay of what we've seen from these guys for years.

If the players were really going to care, a few of them should've cared enough to tackle Brandon Jacobs. Or the OL should've cared enough to make an effort to block. Or Flozell should have cared enough to get tough with the Giant defense at some other than when he's taking a cheap shot.

Fact is, we have a roster full of players who are either unable or unwilling to respond to the pressures of a playoff race, and a coach who has not clue one what to do about it.

There have been many things over the last few years that one would think would ignite the catalyst in this team but didn't happen.

Forget the chick little, glass is half empty folk in here.

I broke that damn glass and now it's time for Dallas to step up and kick some tail. I do hope this inspires the players. EVERY Cowboys fan should think the same way too. Instead of the same "waaaaaa, sniffle, sniffle, not gonna change anything, waaaaa, waaaaa..

Great post and a good thing done by Brooking. I hope the team sees that.

The Cowboys should have more chips on their shoulders than there are in all of Las Vegas and it hasn't helped them one iota.

But this time it's going to be different.

how would this solve busted coverages, smith (after his coming out party in jerry-world) being unsolved the entire game (with drops!), the MISTAKES, punt returns, penalties, etc.

WADE'S CUPCAKES SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT OVER AND OVER DUE TO LACK OF PREPARATION AND COACHING.

talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk...

too bad they don't play as good as they talk

Chinch, I agree with the part in bold.

But Brookings does bring it every game.

How bad has it gotten where a player ripping a member of the media is a sign that good things could be instore for the future?

The way Tony Romo played last game should give us hope, not a player ripping a member of the media.

+1. and if I were Dallas players. I'd mark Steve Dennis all the idiots who laughed and tell them to stick it. If I were Jerry I might even try to pull some strings because what they print on a daily basis is GARBAGE!

While it is encouraging, IMO, the locker room is probably spilt on this (not that they are arguing with one another, there are just some that don't like Phillips). Case and point was the SOS Wade Phillips text earlier this week.

We'll find out Sunday how much of an impact the media has had over the last week on the psyche of the players. They can defend the coach in print or video all they want but they have to transfer that defiance to the field this weekend against the Chargers.

Threads like these just show how much all of you play into the Soap opera nonsense that the media generates.

There were plenty of reasons for hope for the rest of the season cropping up over the past month, and in the loss on Sunday. But rather than be impressed by what the players are doing on the field, we're gung-ho because our first-year ILB yelled at a moronic-reporter.

Pls no more Brooking(S) guys.. thanks..

If only there were some way to label threads so that people would know what's in them before opening them.

EDIT: Ah. This was a spelling request, wasn't it? My bad. I thought you were sick of the topic.

We also deliver our lines on cue in the soap opera and the voices from the team are just as responsible as the media.

Brooking didn't have to do this, but he apparently felt he had to. I hope it served a purpose. Otherwise, it was a waste of time.

yeah, because ELI SIGNING JERRYWORLD wasn't motivation enough.

telling a columnist to STICK IT would be great (shades of roy willy 31/38 leaving that offensive, unsigned note to JJT)

:laugh2:

NEWSPAPERS and DEBATE and TALK have nothing - i repeat nothing - to do with outcomes of games.
