Brother-in-law breaks into house, loses my dog.

I swear, my in-laws just feel the need to take my generosity and repay me by kicking me in the nuts.

My sister-in-law and her husband already owe me over $1400 because they stopped paying off a loan that I graciously opened in my name last year to help them with their bills, forcing me to make the payments. They make more than me and my wife, but for some reason can't get their **** together, and are amazingly behind on every single bill it seems. I have no idea how that happens.

Apparently their gas is off too, so they can't take hot showers. So my sister-in-law tells him he can get into our back door pretty easily (there is a window that needs replaced). So without getting permission from us or anything, and while we're both at work, he decides to break in to our house to take his damn shower. While doing so he spooks my dog and lets him bolt outside and into the neighborhood.

In the past when he's gotten out he's come home later in the day. But he never came home last night and we checked the usual places he runs too.

My wife has been freaking out and wants to kill my brother-in-law.

First of all why are you helping them if they make more money then you It is not your problem they can't pay their bills. I would have to cut them off. This is insane. I would want to kill him too.

Just went to my kitchen to get something to eat and looked out our back door and he was there laying on one of his beds that I put out there last night in case he came back while we were asleep or not at home.

Happy to have him back, but still pissed off.

I'm glad to hear you have your dog back, but you should probably shut these people out of your life for a while.

Helping them apparently gave them the impression that you're an endless well of resources for them to use. Fix up that back window and change your locks if necessary and don't avoid telling them what they caused and why you're not interested in seeing them for a while.

My ghost faced bully busted out 2 weeks ago and had me freaked out(He was expensive) but the outta shape slob knew better than to go more than 200 feet from home.....

It appears he may be injured. He seems to be favoring one of his back legs a little. He's not putting my effort in his jumps, even for a snack, and just appears to not want to put much of his weight on his back legs. I don't see anything the looks like an injury, so I wonder if he sprained or pulled something.

As for my family, we don't really talk to them much as it is. They mostly avoid us when we do go out of the way to get in touch because they don't want to deal with me bringing up the fact that they need to start paying up. I know I never should have helped them out, especially considering their history, and only did so because we arranged it so that part of her paycheck was direct deposited into my bank account that made the loan payments. Six months in she got laid off. She returned to work pretty quickly, but they never got the direct deposit set back up with her new employer, and they only made a half payment to me one time since. At least the loan is paid off now and I am not forced to make even more payments. For some reason they think I always have money and have no bills or something. Nevermind the fact that I've lost over $5,000 (and climbing) this year in lost wages due to a work injury, and you add that $1,400 on top of that and I'm running pretty damn thin myself. And I might lose my job because of my work restrictions in the near future. Despite all that I've never missed any of my payments on anything. I've had to sell quite a bit of crap on ebay, but hey, whatever it takes.

My dog got a mysterious limp once and it turned out he just skinned his pads running around on concrete like the fool runs around on the wooden floors. He found out concrete is a lot less forgiving when you try to make skidding stops.

I was going to say that, or check in between the toes for anything like a little rock or sticker burr that might be stuck in there and irritating it.

That could be it. He doesn't react when I feel around his leg, and doesn't really limp much, but he seems to walk a little gingerly. At first I thought maybe he was just a little lethargic, but I think something is bothering him. I'll have to check his pads.

Yep, looks like his pads. They appear to be slightly swollen, and I found a blister on one.

Glad to hear you dog is back. I know how I feel about mine and I would be livid if something like that happened. If you don't notice any improvment soon, consider taking him to the vet to get checked out. At the least lots of TLC this weekend.

As for your brother-in-law, I'd consider calling the police also. That is better than beating the living crap out of him with a baseball bat then you end up in trouble.
