The NFL officially announced Monday that Browns general manager Ray Farmer was suspended without pay for the first four regular-season games of the 2015 season for his violation of the NFL's electronic device policy. The Browns have also been fined $250,000; Cleveland will not lose a draft pick.

what does suspending a GM for 4 games accomplish? Just sounds silly.

The GM interfering with coaches is something that the owner should be upset over, not the NFL, so while he broke a rule, texting the coaches to play Manziel should not factor into his punishment
