To the point of the OP trading away your day 1 and day 2 picks is not a good way to build a team.
Eagles just won a Super Bowl doing that, so

Jonathon Allen, Da'ron Payne, Ryan Kerrigan. And Rook Montez Sweat could easily be disruptive. Ioannids is one of the least known players in the NFL, but had 7.5 sacks from the NT position.Who on their defense takes the ball away? What WRs do they have? Basic oline with aging Trent Williams. Yeah, you’re the only one
No one you named takes the ball away. Collins has one great year in his career. He was trash last year. It’s interesting that NY made no effort to keep him. Same way Carolina didn’t want to keep the other Commander dB that (takes the ball away). We scored 17 (should’ve been more) against them before Amari came and we were in a rut. They also picked up Landon Collins at S. Their D could be stacked.
But the Foreskins did not, which is what the thread is about.Eagles just won a Super Bowl doing that, so

the iggles traded/made moves to move up in the draft... not out .. of day 1/2 ... so, the point stands
On a QB who had little impact on their postseason success. And besides that point, we're literally talking about Allen trading picks to move up in the draft. Same exact situation.
Except Philly did trade a 1 for their LT, a 4 for their RB, a 3 for their no. 1 corner, a 4 for their scatback, a 4 for their DT, a 3 the year after for a WR and still made the divisional round. So they did both trade up and trade out of day 1, day 2.
Its not the same situation though.
Because, and this might be difficult for you to understand, its not about Philadelphia.
Its about Washington bad drafting and/or their inability to resign players... dysfunction at its best

This is slightly misleading. If he hits on a rookie and gives them another contract, that’s a 5-6 year deal on top of the 4-5 year rookie deal they had. He’s only been GM for 9 years, so there shouldn’t be many guys on multiple post-rookie contracts.
Trent Williams, for instance, is Bruce’s first ever draft pick. He’s still on his first big contract since his rookie one, so he’s an example of a player who apparently ‘failed to get multiple contracts after his rookie deal.’ What a waste of a pick.
Is signing your own draft picks to second contracts the be-all-end-all? They signed Jordan Reed to a huge second contract, which he has not lived up to.
