Also, I worked at a bar last year that a lot of football and bball players frequent, and he was there 3-4 times a week at least, not exactly the attitude you want from a potential first round pick.
I will say that he is an absolute monster to see in person, an absolute mountain of a man, and I do hope for him that when he gets drafted he is able to develop his game in camp and whatnot, because with the right skill and technique he could become a cornerstone LT for whatever team chooses him.

But, I do think he'll get drafted (very) high due to his athletic abilities.
Welcome to Oakland, Bruce.

That being said, he could be a classic late bloomer. I do recall many on this board saying that merriman was a work out wonder.
Drafting 27, I do not think it is out of realm for us to pick him up based on potential and projection. I'm 50/50 on this guy. I will say this, I love gritty more than pretty when it comes to OL and DL.

i think the chance of campbell falling to 27 is pretty remote, imo.
as for mays, i don't think the cowboys would draft him in Round 1. as i understand, we have him categorized as a lb, not a safety.

I think Mays game is more suited for ILB or WLB in a 4-3 than FS or SS. In the old NFL he would be a perfect in the box SS. Today, SS have more coverage concerns than a few years ago.
I like Mays at ILB in a year. This coming season, he can take over for Carpenter as the nickle LB. I think Mays is a comparable size to Kevin Barnet. 6"3' 230 lbs for Mays and KB was 6"3' 239. KB played saftey early at UT (Vols) before moving to LB.
