Alot of criticism and negativity is going round after the loss against the Giants. And i think most of it is ok. But i do want to point out a player i was really having my wows with.
Bruce Carter.
What a game this guy had. I have to watch the game again but my first impression was he did not only play great (how much tackles for loss did he have ? Felt like 10+) he seemed to provide a big leading role.
To me it looked like he stepped out of Jean Lee's shadow. This guy not only has talent. He has the physical tools and he is using them. Looks like he is playing with much more aggression and that's a positive for me.
I hope when Lee returns those two feed of each others leading skills and not one of them stepping back and making room for the other. To me it seemed a bit like Carter did that when Lee was playing. But maybe it appeard just like that because Lee's role is more of an exposed one in our D-scheme and Carters role is much more of the one who's freeing up tackling lanes for Lee.
