Fans of late martial arts legend Bruce Lee, who broke negative stereotypes around Asian men in films, gathered in Hong Kong this week to commemorate their idol's death half a century ago, remembering his legacy and his life philosophy on persistence

Me: I grew up on watching Bruce Lee ..wishing I could be a Bruce Lee .. easily my favorite kid idol when I was so very small.

Even to this very day, even 50 years after his passing Bruce Lee's combination of dynamic on screen charisma and wow speed, agility and athleticism, his impact and world wide influence has been off the charts indescribable , and massive popularity simply cannot be matched or surpassed, whether in Hollywood, ..or the Martial Arts world.

He's truly one of a kind. and to this very day ..when we think the word " Martial Arts " .. it is " Bruce Lee's" name and image that is always first thought off.

Unquestionably there has never been anyone quite like Bruce Lee, ..and there never again will be.
Growing up I used to always hear that " there will never be another Bruce Lee " ..Now at my age and time, I'm totally convinced of that saying.

There's definitely never been anyone like him. Absolute greatness incarnate, in both physical abilities and charisma. I don't think I've ever changed the channel when he was on the TV, even if I'd seen the movie or show several times already. Hell, even movies and shows about him, in which someone else is playing him get my full attention.

Also, I always get a kick (pun intended) out the picture in which he's showing off his lats. He reminds me of a flying squirrel.
