everybody seems to pigeonhole us into a LDE,i contend that LDE is not a pick Rod will covet at least for the first rd.the more i think about this the more i feel we go CB in the first.

it would only be a top of round two trade down for me
I am hoping for a couple of out of the blue selections
that drop a good player to us

Eddie Goldman or Jaelen Strong if things fall that way.
OMG Dez with Strong... no team could cover us.

P.S. We get Strong then someone offers us a 2nd and 3rd this year and 1st next year for Dez, do you take it?

Preston Smith is not a Rd 1 talent and I expect we won't have him graded as one, therefore I really hope we don't pick him there. I'd rather take Goldman or trade down a bit in that scenario

This is a terrible draft scenario for the Cowboys n both RBs are already off the board.

I wouldn't be surprised if they passed on the top RBs even if they were on the board given our recent history of drafting later round runners.

Im gonna say this, the pendulum looks to be swinging in HB's favor and I could see 3 HB's going in the first round

He might be a first round SDE like Frederick was a first round center.

Smith had some pretty good numbers at the combine. I can see him being a guy real scouts have much higher then Net amatures do

I guess I'm in the minority in that I like Smith and would be okay with him at 27. Then get Yeldon in the second if he's still there and feel pretty good about life.

In this situation I would see a lot of teams at the start of rd2 calling for clemmings

I do not understand why Smith gets first round hype. I just do not see a special player, despite all of this talk how he has LB-like athleticism and so on. Sorry, just do not see it.

In that scenario I take Clemmings or Erving and don't look back.

I think it might be the opposite. I think media draft analysts might have a higher grade on him than NFL teams do. Either way I can see a 3-4 having a higher grade on him than the Cowboys.
