1. As of last week, head coach Kelly and GM Baalke publicly stated that Kaepernick will be on the roster as of April 1st.
2. He was benched by the fired head coach and his offensive staff, not by Kelly.
3. Absent a team agreeing to assume Kaepernick's contract or Kaerpernick agreeing to restructure his current contract, and San Fransisco agreeing to the trade offers (requisite value via draft picks, etc.), his tradable options are limited. Thus, I say he is in their future plans.
4. Romo is not in Dallas's future plans.
5. Dallas selects Goff at 4.
Easy.
1. Do some research on Baalke and Jed York. THEY run the team and handle personnel, not Kelly or Tomsula before him, and both have done the exact same thing with other players.
2. His benching was widely viewed as a Baalke influenced move. Tomsula was nothing more than a puppet. Again, do some research.
3. Given his experience and upside, Kaepernick's contract is very friendly. He gave the 49ers a significant discount when he signed it. No restructuring would happen or be needed. You don't bench your starting QB and then let him seek trade offers if he's your future.
4. Romo is the Cowboys starting QB for at least the next 2-3 seasons.
5. Dallas could still select Goff, that has nothing to do with this argument.
