40. Ronald Blair DE Appalachian St......Not after the combine.o_O

Was one of my biggest disappointments last weekend. Saw the 32 reps @ 225....but he sure looked more like a stiff DT than a DE. 5.15 for a DE is molasses slow....6'2 284....sounds like a DT

Wow, Rankins is really shooting up boards now too.

You couldn't fit all the DL talent in this draft into Scrooge McDuck's vault. If we don't come out of this draft with at least two real defensive line prospects, it's an absolute failure.

If Billings last until the end of the first, do you trade up to get him? He could transform the interior of this defensive line by himself.

Wouldn't mind Rankins if he could be the next Aaron Donald. I know a lot of us were in love with Donald and look what kind of player he turned out to be.

I would definitely consider it if the price is only our 4th. I think that could be done if we're only jumping up ~5 spots.

Been meaning to ask you how you feel about S. Cravens after the combine? I have to say, I was pretty disappointed in his numbers. The explosion you see on tape definitely didn't match up with his combine performance.

Here's the deal with Cravens, there is a reason USC played him where they did. He's not an elite athlete. He is not going to run with guys in the NFL. That's never been and never going to be his forte. However, his instincts on the field are undeniable. He sniffs plays out so quickly that it negates and lack of athleticism he might have. He has textbook tackling technique while also being able to explode on impact and deliver huge hits. As far as the people who are worried he's not strong enough to play LB, that's not where I would play him the majority of the time anyway. I put him in a Cam Chancellor role, where he can freelance near the LOS, and you're gonna need a poncho for all the splash plays. Cravens can be that hybrid LB/SS in nickel and dime as well, allowing a team to keep two tacklers and run-n-chase defenders in their back seven, opening up a lot more zone options.

The Cowboys may not be the best fit for Cravens, but I still believe that this is the kind of kid you draft and adapt your scheme to fit him. I think he has that much potential impact. The good news is, his bench press numbers may push him to the second round.

I am starting to get a very strong gut feeling Zeke is the pick regardless if its at #4 or a small trade down. The last time I had this gut feeling this strong about a first rounder was when the Cowboys moved up to draft Dez. That year I was absolutely certain Dez was the guy.

The one thing Dallas has done in recent years is get the top prospect at a position.

Granted we have picked lower, but we seem to try to get the number one player, ala Bryant, Martin, Frederick etc.

This would fit.

I would hate it. Win the battle, lose the war. Nobody's going to care about our beastly running back when Carson of Bismarck is rewriting all the record books. We'll be laughed at and possibly even stoned for being the idiots who let him get away.

Now if this was B.C., yeah. I'd be all about it.

Problem is that we had Roy Williams. He was toast when trying to cover and I am not sure we are ready for that again. In order to draft Craven we need an elite FS to play single high. Jones hasn't proven that yet.

Roy Williams lost his passions for the game and stopped working to get better and started eating biscuits instead. Then the coaches compounded it by continuing to ask him to cover man to man. Also, Cravens is a significantly better overall athlete than Roy Williams was.
