Brugler: Very deep RB class, a logjam of quality RBs in 3rd and 4th range

Not yet, but if this scenario played out: OBJ, Robinson/Pollard and one of those top TE's, we are close.
I think we’re close but not close enough to waste a 1st round pick on a RB…especially if we tag Pollard.

It’d make more sense for the Eagles bc they have everything I just mentioned plus arguably the best OL in football.

I'm with you, just saying you can make the argument taking Robinson. In my opinion, if they have Pollard, no need to take another high running back, but rather more of a backup to take 10 carries a game.

Frankly, I think the hype on Robinson being this almost generational, Top 5 talent is overblown.
This. His fans will say he's uniquely talented, but I'd say there's been 3 or 4 similar backs in the past 5 years. Frankly, there's a guy like Bijan declaring in most seasons.

Yea, it’d make more sense if we let both Zeke and Pollard walk. Then i’d dislike it instead of hate it.

But hey, if you tell me we can use that saved money to go nab someone like Nuke / Cooks / Thomas? I’ll change my tune real quick and applaud the Jones.

And again, all these big time talents at TB, what have they done for their teams? Gurley? When the Rams won a SB, Gurley was basically a backup at that point. Zeke? A couple of playoff wins? Awesome. Barkley? Geezus.

But our two knuckleheads will ignore that stuff and continue to pour their assets into TBs.

We know that's not happening, will be fortunate enough if Zeke gets his release.

With this draft depth and some decent FAs out there, this offseason SCREAMS letting Elliott go.

But our *******es won't. Stephen waxing on about how important Elliott is and kind of downplaying Pollard was a sure sign they plan on bringing the anchor back.

So dumb.
I'd bet that they cut Zeke.

Our knuckleheads are getting closer to the top every year.

I’ll believe it when I see it…
Ok, wait for it. I guarantee you that they know that they can get better by cutting Zeke, drafting a back, and using the money saved for other players.

Almost have to take Robinson if he makes it to 26, he is a top 5 talent in this class that might have just 15-18 first rd graded players. I get it the counter argument, it’s like drafting a Guard in rd 1, but if he if an elite player, it would be a mistake. I am only taking Robinson in this scenario and willing to wait to day 3 to find Pollard a running mate
A guard could give you 15+ years of quality service. A running back could give you 4-6 years of quality service.

I'm pretty sure that they cut Zeke.
Did you catch Stephen waxing on about Zeke just last week? He talked about how important he was to the team and how he does things the fans don't see. Stephen even threw a little shade at Pollard insinuating he's just a fan fave but Zeke is the real TB on this team.

At this time of the year, Jerry and his nitwit son aren't very good about not telegraphing what they are thinking. They love to hear themselves talk and typically spill tells about what they are planning. I think they are hoping to trim a few bucks of his base, save a few million in cap and still have Elliott around.

It's dumb but so utterly predictable from the Jones.

Yeah, after 27 years, we inched closer to the top.

LOL.

PS - We are no closer to the top than a few years ago when we also won a playoff game only to lose in the divisional round.

Cowboys truly aren't dumb enough to go RB in the 1st round again.

Just wait until one falls to them in the 3-4 range.

I think that they will cut Zeke. It doesn't matter what he does. They are better without him. The draft is too deep at running back and they can use the money elsewhere. It is pretty simple math.
