Deep fried Crow with Honey Mustard taste sooo good. I was concerned about Carter's play from what I was witnessed in preseason. He's going to be alright. I also stated prior to Preseason his play will be the biggest unknown factor on how successful this defense can be. Super excited about this defense. Jenkins will be a factor this year also.

SIDE NOTE: Whats up with these presnap penalties? Dang its getting old.

Garrett said the only way Carter is going to get better...is to let him play. We put him out there...and he played. He will make plays....he will make mistakes....that's football. But the ONLY way you get better is by playing....and play he did!

Yes he did

Nice game by carter. I sure was nice to watch our new lb core . Its been awhile since we were so solid attacking the line of scrimmage and in pass protection.

It looked to me that the new center was a tad slower in getting the ball up. That's where a lot of the false starts came from, when the line moved just before the ball came off the ground.

Carter looked pretty quick out there.

Smith struggled a bit at Left tackle, but JPP will do that to you.

I think the OL will improve week by week once they gain a bit of chemistry. Remember, we have had quite a few players out all preseason long (Witten, Miles, Bryant, and the entire OL.

The defense gave me hope. They actually didn't let Eli light them up. And remember, we get Ratliff and Jenkins back soon. Who knows, Johnson and Wilbur might add something down the road as well.

What was the final word on Costa? Is his back going to be an issue all season long? If we don't make a move, I guess Arkin becomes active on game days as a back up........

Wow--Bruce Carter/Sean Lee and that speed is something to behold especially after watching those two sloths in the middle of that defense for so long.

Agreed. Lee was in beast mode as usual. I love the way he plays the game.

I like Carter......he should only improve with experience.....

I still find him slow to react to running plays.......but you sure notice his speed.....

I was happy to see Carter play well.....I think he still has potential to do alot more....

Should be fun watching our 2 young ILB's play

Did Connor even see the field last night? I know he probably did,but I didn't notice.

Carter showed why he is the better player. And Connor has zero upside. He is what he is, average.

Agreed. Hopefully with 10 days between games, the O line can get some extra time to get on the same page.

Maybe even Felix can run himself into some shape as well.

He showed up big last night.

Folks, if he keeps it up, we may have one of the best ILBs and best overall LBs in the league.

the guy definitely showed up. Worst case, we have ourselves a great backup in Dan Conner now :)

Every time Carter makes a big play (sack, interception), the fans should yell "BRUUUUUCE!"

Just a thought :laugh2:

Interesting, I will have to go back and look at that. Thats difintely fixable.

Watching them makes me want to get rid of Connor even more and bring up Orie Lemon.

Speed on defense is what it's about in this era of football.
