Ok, this is what joe does, you get your nfl draft chart trade out, and check value points.

Dallas Cowboys at 2th pick are valued at 680 points
Ok the rams number 2 and 4 are worth as picks 33 and 100 worth
580 and 100 points, which totals up to 680 so equal value

i would then if im a crafty general manager, say, i have detriot or tampa bay on the phone and they are offering me their 2nd, 4th and 5th, i would see if i can sweeten the deal

then i would look at my board and see if i have 7 players on my first round board, that i want, that i can get a good player with the top 2nd round pick, if not, its too far down to move, i would wait and see if someone like colts, vikings or jets call.

If you have only 2 players on your top first round board, you dont want to move down to far, unless the rams offer you something you cant refuse.

thats what joe would do

Thats why I said it because its equal value, if they offered a 2nd, 4th and 5th I take it and run. If neither Bryant or Iupati make it to the 33rd pick, I'd take Nate Allen there. first pick in the 4th round i'd take Jason Fox. 5th pick, take best available.

Also on the other hand I may just take Iupati, Bryant makes no sense, except if we deal RW11 for what a 7th round pick if that. Ogletree I like this potential aswell; Bryant if we keep RW11 would not be more than the 4th target on the team (witten, austin, williams, bryant) now that is not who I would take with my 1st round pick.

If we get a receiver in the first round, the receiver I'd be looking to deal is Patrick Crayton. The value on Roy is low right now, so it's probably better to see if he can step it up than give him away. The value of Crayton is probably as high as it will get -- third receiver who can return punts for TDs and step up to second receiver if necessary.

I'd feel safe making that move because we have Austin and because Ogletree showed major potential. I'm certain among Austin, Williams, Ogletree and the first-rounder we'd be able to put at least as good of a corps on the field as we did with Crayton, whom I have nothing against.

No.

If Dez Bryant falls to #27, I prepare for the phone to ring and see what I can get.

The first team I'd call would be Seattle, given that horrendous trade they made today.

And what would we get?

Their 2nd now belongs to San Diego.

So we trade our 27th overall and move alllllllll the way back to 59 and pick up some more garbage picks?

Fail.

It's a deep draft. There's probably much more value to be had after all of the super-contracts are drafted in the top picks in the first round.

Yeah, sorry it's deep but it's not that deep(that's what she said)

I'm not moving back 30 spots for my first selection to pick up some more mid rounders.

He isnt having a private workout for us, just a visit.

That said, taking him depends on who else is available and how high they have the guy rated. If he's the best player on their board, yeah I'd take him in a heartbeat. He doesnt have to start as a rookie to have an impact, we dont have a gaping hole at WR. The guy also has return experience and was pretty good at punt returns.

If Iupati and ET are gone and there no good trade down to 35ish(for Pouncey) I think Id do it and trade Crayton and Carp to Mia for a 4th.

NFLDraftScout, through CBS Sports, compares Dez Bryant to Roy Williams.

I could be wrong, but I think we already have a Roy Williams type player.

I know he doesn't play like it now, but Roy E. Williams was as explosive as they come in college.

Dez Bryant might visit the Dallas Cowboys before the NFL Draft

Eugene Parker, who represents Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant, said his client may pay a visit before the NFL Draft.

Bryant missed the NFL Scouting Combine and his campus pro day with an injured hamstring.

Parker said rules prevent an individual workout, so any trip to Valley Ranch would be more like a job interview.

According to ESPN, April 1 would be the day for a Bryant visit.

The Cowboys rarely take receivers in the first round and picked Manuel Johnson in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Alvin Harper was the last receiver taken in the first round back in 1991.

Go look at some of their other "compares to"

Nobody said it would be 30 spots. Someone in 28-32, or in the first part of round 2 might want him. Give us a shot at Vlad Ducasse AND Kyle Wilson AND Nate Allen? I'd do it.
