Looks like he is rated as a lower round pick. Wasn't he a Heisman trophy finalist? How did he get that far in the Heisman voting if he is a marginal player? Usage only?

Love was a finalist two years ago.
He was nothing special his senior year.

But yes, if hes still there in the late rounds and in the top tier of players keft on our board....why not.
So many good backs in the mid later rounds this year, I bet hes down our list a ways

Torn ACL late in the season is good for draft stock.

Precisely.

Not to mention he failed to have an encor after his big 2017 season.

He’s also an unproven pass catcher which is what you’d like to see/expect out of a non-power, 5’-8” 200 lbs running back.

Torn ACL but I'm a big fan of the player.

He played through injuries to both ankles according to his coach.

They didn't throw to him much which is a concern.

Doesn't have much versatility. Basically needs to learn a route tree beyond a wheel route, and that may not be the best usage for him because his hands may be a concern. Why not use him there unless he's not good at it?

Doesn't pass block really well, so he's essentially a 200 lb early down back. Doesn't really run for power, and a lot of his elusiveness in college wasn't Reggie Bush style straight up people missing him, it was huge holes his O-Line was making and crazy amounts of bad arm tackles, which won't happen in the NFL.

He probably would have been a 3rd round or later guy even without the injury.

People are over-thinking the negatives...
