I heard Dan Patrick and a few others wonder aloud if now Terry Glenn feels as if he were benched along with Drew Bledsoe - as if Romo and TO are freezing TG out....
Funny first thing TO did after the game was heap praise ontop of Jason Witten.
I think this will always be the case as long as TO and Bill are here.

BTW - Glenn and TO need to practice running those deep routes closer to the middle of the field.

I guess I have brainwashed by them as I wondered last night if Glenn was now forgotten but in a positive way. I meant at least now Glenn won't be the only guy our QB looks for when throwing the ball. I still think Glenn will do fine.

I am not sure if you watched those routes, however the BD was pushing both TO and TG off the route. It should have been called a penalty by the refs. You seriously think that BOTH TO &TG forgot how to run a route? Wow:bang2:

You know, it did seem like TG had fewer passes thrown his way last night, but he still ended up with 50+ yards on 4 receptions...and he also had one come out of his hands for a first down.

I know Madden and Michaels were saying it was the receivers' fault, but when 2 veterans are doing that, I don't think it is them as much as Romo throwing the ball too far to the sidelines.

Carolina was playing a lot of Cover 2 and forcing Dallas to beat them over the middle. That's why Witten got a lot of passes coming his way. Glenn is great and all, but he's primarily a deep threat that works down the sideline. Owens provides a WR that can go over the middle, although he really didn't do much of that last night.

One of the big differences was that with Romo, he was able to buy extra time and look for Witten. If Bledsoe would've been in there, he probably would've been sacked quite often and in the best case scenario, he's only hitting Witten on short routes that aren't all that effective. With Romo in the game, not only was he able to hit Witten over the middle, but he was able to do it on intermediate to deep patterns. That causes a lot of problems for opposing defenses.

Glenn is not a #1. He got about half as many catches as TO. He contributed, he had a rush attempt.

Doesnt anyone see the problem we had when Terry was catching most of the passes? He was not #1 WR. This was a total team win.

And to take what you're saying one step further Rich, with Bledsoe in there many times Witten isn't even running a route, much less running a short one, due to the protection issues.

Actually glenn was thrown to a bunch of times.

Glenn was also double teamed a lot. And bledsoe threw to glenn a lot.

and completed only half his passes.

Glenn was within about 8 yards yesterday of any game he's played this season outside of the first two when he averaged about 90 yards.

Bledsoe wasn't exactly "utilizing" Glenn either the last month.

Romo should find the open receivers. He shouldn't force the ball just to TO. With that said, Glenn is our No. 2 receiver -- a great one, albeit. But TO, in my opinion, should be our primary focus in just about every game. Sure, if/when teams leave Glenn open because they're doubling Owens, then Glenn should become our primary focus. But by and large, TO should be our guy. Just look at what he's done over his career.

When Romo sat down with Glenn at the end of the game last night, Glenn pointed up at the scoreboard and said that's all I care about. So ESPN will try to stir **** up that isn't really there like always, but like the T.O. stuff, there really isn't a problem in the locker room.

Glenn will be fine and had a good game yesterday, Glenn will actually in my opinion have more success with Romo because they know Romo will not always look for him and so wont double him as often as they did when bledslow was QB because they knew he was looking glenn's way

Glenn was used many times on key first downs, and had numbers just as good as Steve Smith...

As did Barber have rushing numbers better than Foster.

Glenns numbers are pretty much the same that he had with Bledsoe except for his first two games. Witten and Owens numbers are both up the last two games.

Glenn

5 54
5 61
5 47
4 41
4 52

Owens
6 80
3 19
5 88
3 45
5 45
6 98
9 107

Witten
3 33
4 45
2 19
4 51
3 17
4 72
6 80

Maybe those idiots at BSPN should take a glance at the stats before they flap their yaps.

Glenn had 4 receptions for 52yds.
Prior to last night he was averaging: 4.8rec and 63yds per game (29rec 378yds)
...
Owens had 9 reception for 107yds.
Prior to last night he was averaging: 4.6rec and 62.5yds per game (28rec 375yds)

Witten had 6 receptions for 80yds.
Prior to last night he was avgeraging: 3.3rec and 39.5yds per game (20rec 237yds)

Both guys saw notable improvements. But because Owens/Witten did better than they'd been averaging, does NOT mean that Glenn saw a drop off in his output.

Yeah WOW...exactly - twice To and Glenn both ran moronic routs that gave Romo Zero room to complete the pass - and they were not forced out - TO just plain ran outta bounds - very amateurish.

Thanks for bringing this up. None of the talking heads will ever mention this. Do you think the guys in the locker room take notice of this? I hope so. It will only help us on the field.

Thank you. I thought it was stupid for Madden to keep making an issue out of it. The DBs were doing their job.

Well, with the attention they're giving all of the smooches Parcell's was throwing around last night, maybe they're working the "Parcell's big gay house of ill repute" angle to stir up some hate. Rumors involving KY jelly, TO, and Parcell's nipples are sure to get the media in a frenzy.
