The hot topic in Week 13 of the NFL? It's gotta be the shoes.
This week, the NFL is taking a break from preventing players from standing out as individuals by allowing them to show support the causes important to them on their shoes.
Dallas Cowboys players will support a wide variety of causes.
Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott's cleats will be adorned with dogs, bones and paw prints in support of animal cruelty prevention.
Tight end Jason Witten's cleats feature the phrase, "Stand Up, Stop Domestic Violence," a cause he has supported for years with his SCORE Foundation.
Tight end Gavin Escobar will raise awareness for testicular cancer with his "feeling nuts" cleats. Escobar had testicular cancer when he was 18, it started with pain that he didn't ignore.
"I kind of want to raise awareness for that because I know if I hadn't gotten myself checked, you know, it might have been a different story for me," Escobar said.
Cornerback Brandon Carr will wear cleats that promote the Carr Cares Reading Buddy Program promoting literacy. So will Byron Jones, but his have a different design featuring the Dallas skyline.
Running back Alfred Morris will wear cleats supporting the Salvation Army.
Defensive end Ryan Davis will wear cleats promoting Stop Diabetes. His father died of diabetes.
Wide receiver Brice Butler will wear cleats supporting Love Jones 4 Kids. The non-profit community-based organization founded by wide receiver James Jones focuses on at-risk children.
