Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead said someone stole his dog and is demanding ransom.
Whitehead posted on Instagram Sunday that someone broke into his home and stole his puppy, Blitz, while he was out of town July 9.
"Blitz was being taken care of by a close friend at my house and someone broke in and took him," he posted.
Whitehead added that the culprit has contacted his phone to demand ransom money "numerous times."
"I strongly advise you to stop and return my boy safely before it gets any worse!," he said on Instagram.
Whitehead asked anyone with information about his dog's disappearance to contact him immediately.
