DeMarcus Ware will retire as a Dallas Cowboy.
The former Cowboys pass rusher and franchise leader in career sacks with 117 announced Monday morning at The Star in Frisco that he would sign with the team and retire.
"I want to thank this organization for bringing be back home," he said. "It really means something to me."
Dallas drafted Ware in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Troy. He played with the team until they did not tender him a free agent contract before the 2014 season.
Ware spent the next three seasons with the Denver Broncos, where he won a Super Bowl after the 2015 season.
