The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans are set to play their final 2017 preseason game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Thursday night, but the minds of many people will be on the coast.
The game was originally scheduled to take place in Houston but was moved to Arlington due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
All tickets to the game — in any section — will be $25, and game proceeds, including contributions from both clubs and the players, will be donated to the United Way of Greater Houston Relief Fund that supports the efforts of the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army for Harvey relief and recovery.
Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com and can also be purchased at AT&T Stadium between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday and between 9 a.m. until kick-off on Thursday.
However, tickets that had been issued for the originally scheduled game at NRG Stadium in Houston will not be valid for the rescheduled game.
"When these kinds of things happen, you typically see the best in people," said Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. "They respond the right way. Communities come together. People rally around those who are having the most difficult time. It's an opportunity for all of us to come together and help the community of Houston and all of the people who are going through such difficult times right now."
Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has helped raise more than $4 million for Harvey relief, and counting.
Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk made a million dollar-donation to Watt's relief fund. Of course, the Titans have a special connection to the city of Houston. The franchise was the original Houston Oilers before moving to Tennessee in 1997.
"That's remarkable, from a team in our division, one of our rivals, willing to go above and beyond football and donate a million dollars," Watt said. "It's incredible, and it just speaks to humanity, speaks of the good in people. I can't say thank you enough to the Titans organization and everyone over there."
All of the parking lots for the game Thursday night at AT&T Stadium will open at 4 p.m.
