The final episode of our Front-Page Writer mock comes less than two weeks before the draft, and following free agency and the official visits. What did our staff come up with?

Shortly after the Combine, we front-page writers here at Blogging The Boys shared our post-Combine seven-round mock drafts. Since then, the Cowboys have brought in six free agents, received three compensatory picks, and brought in truckloads of draft prospects for pre-draft visits to Dallas. Also, many early draft favorites saw their stock plunge, just as previously unheralded prospects saw their stock rise since then. With all of that in mind, we decided to each take another run at a seven-round mock draft for the Dallas Cowboys.

Again, there are no trades, the references for each mock are listed, and you'll find a short comment for each mock at the bottom of the table.

Joey: Will McClay said he wanted to improve the team speed. I'll give him some team speed, two DE's w/ sub 4.7 speed, two 4.5 LBs, and 3 skill guys all 4.42 or under make the team instantly more speedy. Add in the most explosive defensive tackle in the draft, two former early round prospects who will redshirt their rookie years, and a developmental QB who can spin the ball and happened to be a part of multiple FBS Championship runs, and you've got yourself a darn good draft.

KD: I win again. In this version of KD Owns 2014 Mocks, we continue to focus on the trenches. Zach Martin is the perfect fit to continue rebuilding the Great Wall of Dallas. He will start off at OG, then move over to right tackle once the team parts ways with Doug Free in 2015. Who will fill in for Martin? The steal of the draft, Brandon Thomas, who's ACL tear makes 2014 a redshirt campaign; grabbing him in the 7th feels like molesting the process. In the second and third round, Dallas augments its defensive line rebuild, with the extremely underrated Will Sutton returning to his 2012 playing weight. Will Clarke is a sneaky steal in the third round at defensive end.

Kyle "No Show" Orton, or I should say "I don't care if he shows" is replaced by Aaron Murray. Everything James Hanna was supposed to be, Joe Don Duncan will be. Walt Aikens is a long corner with speed that can play both press and off zone. Jonathan Dowling is always on the ball and was recruited by multiple SEC teams before leaving Florida after not getting along with Urban Meyer. Davon Coleman is the guy that always shows up whenever you watch tape of 2013 Will Sutton and can play up and down the line. Never heard of Chris Schaudt? I have it on good authority Dallas is interested in this D2 monster pass rusher add they've been taking him throughout the year.

OCC: I'm not kidding around with my defensive line in the 2014 draft. "Disrupton is production" is my motto this year, and my top three picks are the most disruptive defensive linemen I can find in this draft. I'm taking out insurance for Romo in the fourth with Aaron Murray, and adding some O-line depth in the fifth. For the rest of the draft I mostly focus on players with outstanding athletic markers. Eight of the 11 picks here have visited the Cowboys, so this is not just a random mock, but one that fits the direction the Cowboys could easily be looking at. Picks are based on the CBS Big Board, give or take a few spots.

Tom: I went strictly off the CBS Prospect Rankings to figure out who might be available, and went very close to BPA on that, just dropping down a few spots to try and get players that fit the team needs. The only real reaches were Malena and Gilbert, both Dallas Day invitees who I figure the team may have had some interest in. The others were all within just a few spots on the chart, which of course is rather unlikely to be how it all plays out, but I think I hit all the real spots, and got some players who will fill in nicely for Dallas.

Dawn: I'm not looking for anything sexy in this draft just some big ol' boys who can get down and dirty while playing football. This gal is going to be very disappointed if the first three rounds does not produce a trio with a combined weight that is pushing a half of a ton.

Rabblerousr: My draft follows from the most likely first round scenario, not necessarily the one I hope will come to pass. With Aaron Donald and Anthony Barr off the board, and teams unwilling to trade up in such a talent-rich draft, the Cowboys go with the only reasonable combination of value and need, selecting Zack Martin to fortify the O-line. From there, the draft turns to defensive line (if they select Martin, the team almost has to draft one DE and one DT, in whatever order, in the next two rounds), and then fills in with interesting options at other offensive and then defensive positions that need depth.
