How do outsiders see the Cowboys 2014 draft and upcoming season?
Let's close out mock draft season with one more look. This time, let's take a gander at the ridiculous 2015 mock drafts already making their way onto the internet. But let's not take the angle of who the Cowboys are projected to draft, as we all know, probably more than half these names will fall far out of the first round once the 2014 college football season is played. Instead, let's look at the player's positions that they have us drafting.
SBNation.com - 14. Dallas Cowboys: Mario Edwards, DE, Florida State
CBSSports.com - 16. Dallas Cowboys -- P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State: An emerging superstar last season, Williams was the Defensive Player of the Game in the BCS Title Game and has a big future ahead of him as a versatile defensive back.
USA Today - 15. Cowboys Noah Spence, DE Ohio State
Rotoworld.com - 12. Dallas Cowboys Edge player Devonte Fields, TCU - Fields had a troubled 2014 campaign. However, the talent is there. The Cowboys could be desperate for edge rushing help.
DraftSite.com - 9. Dallas Jalen Collins* CB LSU 6' 0" 195 DraftSite's comments: First year as a full time starter but we already seen the potential and his propensity to make big plays in big games.

So, even with the Cowboys selecting Demarcus Lawrence in the second round of this year's draft, defensive end/pass rusher seems to be a very popular pick for the Cowboys.
The only other position taken, cornerback. Faith in Morris Claiborne and Brandon Carr's situation is lacking.
What do you think BTB? Will Demarcus Lawrence's rookie year make the mocks next offseason forget all about the Cowboys picking an edge rusher in the first round? How do you think Lawrence will do in year one?
Also, could seventh-round rookie Terrance Mitchell prove that he should have been drafted much sooner? KD has a nice article on him here in case you missed it. Will he allow the Cowboys to drop Brandon Carr if they should choose to save money?
