The second edition of the full first-round mock draft series. In the last mock the Cowboys took Melvin Gordon out of Wisconsin. Do the Cowboys go offense again or does the defense get reinforcements early?

The Cowboys take a linebacker here at 27. The Cowboys have a lot of moving parts at linebacker. Rolando McClain, Bruce Carter and Justin Durant are all free agents. There are questions surrounding Rolando McClain, he had trouble staying on the field, he supposedly got a fine for substance abuse, the next time will be a suspension, and everyone is hoping he doesn't have a problem from the arson fire at his house in Alabama. Sean Lee will be back, but his injury history coupled with McClain's problems staying healthy lead the Cowboys to reinforce the linebacker corps with a very good player.
Kendricks comes from a NFL bloodline with his older brother Mychal playing for long-time rival Philadelphia. That aspect could bring yet another storyline to their bi-annual games. Kendricks is very instinctive and is very quick in making the decision to get from point A to point B. Very little wasted steps. He does well in coverage but at times can be too aggressive.
Kendricks is #29 on CBS Sports big board, #29 on SI big board, #44 on NFL.com.
