We'll see tonight.

We've seen McGovern and Josh Ball push John Ridgeway 20 yards across the field.

We've seen Tyler Smith pancake multiple DTs.

The videos I've seen of Steele getting beat were with Micah Parsons as the pass rusher...that is going to happen to any OT in the NFL that has to block Parsons.

Steele was good at RT last season. I doubt if he has regressed.

Zack Martin...

Tyron if healthy...
Well, I do agree we will find out in due time. But IMO we won’t find out much tonight other than a few tidbits about our OL depth. I seriously doubt we will see OL starters much at all. I think it will be mid- Sept at the earliest before we really know a lot. The regular season is when we really learn what a team is.

The problem with ps games is it very hard to gauge performances- especially when some players may be matched up frequently with a 4th stringer from the other team that has no chance to be much more than maybe a practice squad player.

I do believe ps games can show some good things- athleticism, quickness, power, and some general football IQ. Beyond that it’s easy to overrate our guys in ps games.

Drafting Tyler Smith was a good start in improving the nastiness and physicality of the O-line. My fear is that the other parts aren’t replaced in time to make Daks, Zekes, and Ceedees efforts come to fruition.

It’s this teams MO to never have the offensive and defensive lines peaking at the same time

Goes back to the urgency factor i have been saying about this FO. When your job ain't on the line, you can wait til next year and see if you can plug some more holes. Meanwhile, other holes develop too and you are always just being reactive instead of proactive. These doodooo heads are never ahead of the curve. But they are first in line at the bank, i am sure.

Blogging the Boys- interesting article focuses on TC having two story lines:
  1. The Offensive Line is currently looking underwhelming and thin as evidenced yesterday in the scrimmage time with the broncos yesterday.
  2. The Defensive Line is currently looking like a real strength with many young players showing growth which is providing great depth.
Things to remember:
  • It’s still TC. There’s time to improve.
  • It takes real regular season games to truly know what we have. (We’re a month away from that)

The Offensive Line is currently looking underwhelming

2 5ths of the "current starting Oline" didnt even play in the scrimmage so your analysis is way off. Stop spewing misinformation. This is how false rumors begin.

You want to say we are thin, heck yah.

This is what the Oline will look like once Tyron Smith goes down. That is the scary part.

I see no way they go into the season with ONLY Ball as the swing tackle. They need to sign a legitimate veteran. Someone that could actually challenge Steele for the starting job.

The only other sign of even moderate hope has been Isaac Alarcón, who has been getting worked almost exclusively at tackle.

Yay!

I was worried when I saw Unicorn listed on the depth chart as a G. Thought they had given up on him. Guess it was just to shove him somewhere on the chart.

I don't want to see veteran starters. I've already seen them.

Tyler will play.

I want to see Farniok at OC.

I want to see Josh Ball.
