Here are the 4 reasons:
- Good relationship with Prescott
- Deep connections around the league to fill out the staff - What?
- Familiarity with how the Cowboys operate - Basically . . . makes Jerry happy?
- Much needed chip on his shoulder - Well, you don't know that. By all reports, the dude is rather mild. This seems like projection than anything based in reality.

Seriously, if that is the best you got the Cowboys are F'ed.

We needed an outside voice, not more of the same.
Completely agree but I’m positive they need to fall lower before that’s going to happen.

They are still going to sell those 12 win seasons, think they are “close,” and don’t think anyone could do their job better than them.

This seriously needs at least 2-3 awful seasons to have a shot for change. Maybe more.

They aren’t to where they will pay for high end coaching, and it’s impossible to build a juggernaut roster using draft only to overcome that. So…where is this going until they eventually admit failure and either use free agency effectively, or hire a Harbaugh type to come in and run it all?

Yeah, I mean I’m not sitting here and trying to root against my team, but whats the alternative? Status quo isn’t working and they won’t change it. They have to hit bottom. Jerry completely destroyed two rosters in the past, and I am fully confident he is on his way to another.

It’s not just angst….more players and depth are walking out the door faster than they can replace it in the draft. That’s a fact.

How is anyone ever supposed to buy in and they will never be asked if the askers like their jobs.

Jerry has bought off the media and is going to continue to fail and act as if he hasn’t.

None of those are good reasons…
