Devin Street
Andrew Gachkar
Kellen Moore
Barry Church
Darren McFadden
Without being able to take injuries into account, I agree with three of the above choices.
1. Devin Street - Agree. Needs to step up big time, I believe Brice Butler will take his spot and the team will only keep 5 wideouts . They always stash a couple on the Practice Squad.
2. Andrew Gachkar - Agree. Anthony Hitchens is the top reserve, Damien Wilson and Mark Nzeocha also play special teams while possessing more long term upside as LBs. Re-signing Kyle Wilber also hurt Gachkar's chances and this is without considering Jaylon Smith could stay on the 53 (I have him on NFI).
3. Kellen Moore - Disagree. He's #2 right right now and Dak Prescott isn't going to take that job as a rookie. Jameill Showers spent most of last season playing WR and DB on the scout team instead of QB. He's getting a look under center again during the rookie camp, but he'll likely spend another year on the Practice Squad doing the exact same thing as last year.
4. Barry Church - Disagree. It could go this way but the team appears more down on fellow safety J.J. Wilcox, so he's the one I have getting axed right now in favor of rookie Kavon Frazier.
5. Darren McFadden - Undecided. I have Run DMC on the bubble right now. The team can keep 4 RBs, if desired, but one of the veterans would likely be inactive for games with Darius Jackson (if he makes it) factoring more heavily on special teams. McFadden isn't a zone runner, Alfred Morris is, case closed.
I don't see any of the FB candidates, LB Keith Smith, RB Roy Smith, TE Austin Traylor (tryout player) and FB Mandel Dixon (tryout player), doing enough to claim a spot on the 53 immediately. One or two could sign to the Practice Squad and bid their time there hoping for a call up.
