The NFL finally got around to confirming the extension.
After weeks of leaving the Dallas Cowboys and Randy Gregory hanging, the NFL has finally made the extended fourteen game suspension official.
Finally, a concrete update on Randy Gregory.
He won't be available until Monday, Dec. 19. pic.twitter.com/M7E2YNDDYq

Gregory is now back with the team, and as Helman also notes, he will be able to take steps to be able to go if the team decides they need him for the last couple of games.
Gregory is allowed to go be in the building, work out & go to meetings. So theoretically, he should be ready to start practicing Week 16.

The most important thing is that all reports are that Gregory is taking his situation very seriously and making a legitimate attempt to salvage his career with the Cowboys. In any case, this is an important time for him to get his life in order. No matter what happens as far as football, we should all be hoping he puts his problems behind him as best he can.
And this was an interesting comment from someone who is very close to the team.
Yeah, I think a certain player with uptown flu destroyed this young man to further his own career with the team. https://t.co/QBTrz0HCGQ
