Tuck, Giants Searching For Respectability Following Elimination - CBS New York
Finally, reality sets in for even the most devout followers of Big Blue, they will not be a participant in the Super Bowl being played on their home field in February.
“It’s difficult but it’s reality. Only thing we can do now is control playing these last three games to really show what we are made of. I don’t like it by a stretch, but it’s reality like I said and we have to face it.” - Hakeem Nicks
I, for one, wish the New York Giants well over the remaining three games and hope they win out. From here on every win moves them further down in the draft order.
Tom Coughlin Still The Right Coach For The New York Giants - Ed Valentine, Big Blue View
With the Giants having missed the playoffs four out of five years, there will be plenty of calls for change around the Giants -- many of them justifiable. The one change that should not happen -- and has no chance of happening unless Coughlin wants it to happen -- is the hiring of a new head coach.
Ed Valentine does bring up five questions that Coughlin does need to ask himself before he makes the decision about if he wants to continue, but if he can make the changes that need to be made, Valentine feels he is still the right man for the job.

Graziano covers the New York Giants for ESPN.com, and he hasn't pulled a single punch all season and he doesn't start now. He gives another straight dose of reality about the Giants being a bad team.

NFL Media's Jeff Darlington reports that Commanders owner Dan Snyder is "pissed" with the current state of the organization, according to a team source. Ongoing Off The Field Drama Wearing On Robert Griffin III - Mike Jones, Washington Post
Griffin in recent weeks has had to tackle a number of controversial topics including his leadership style, his relationship with Mike Shanahan and Kyle Shanahan and rumors that he didn’t want to watch his negative plays during film review sessions, his personality and character.
Bob goes on to complain that reporters keep asking about that. He needs to realize that until he learns what to talk about and what not to, the reporters are not going to stop asking.

Detroit Lions 20
Philadelphia Eagles 34

Kelly: No Quit In This Eagles Team - Chris Mc Pherson, PhiladelphiaEagles.com
“I think it showed everybody what we know about them, and I don't think this group gives up," head coach Chip Kelly said. "I think they've got way too much invested, and I think the more you have invested in something it's a lot more difficult to quit. It's an extremely hard working group, and they understand that it's a long game, and you've just got to keep plugging away, and you can't get discouraged when you're not successful early because in this league there's a lot of times you're not going to be able to just go out there and say, 'Hey, this is what we choose to do.'
This is something that everyone associated with the Dallas Cowboys is going to have to accept and find a way to get around. This is going to be an outright war down to week 17.
Eagles Officially The Hottest Team In The NFL - Andrew Kulp, The 700 Level
The Eagles’ last loss was October 27 against the New York Giants, a game that Michael Vick started under center and Matt Barkley finished. Since then, Nick Foles has led the team to victories over Oakland (4-9), Green Bay (6-6-1), Washington (3-10), Arizona (8-5) and Detroit (7-6).
During that span, the Eagles are scoring an average of 31.6 points per game while holding opponents to 18.0. They also have an outstanding turnover margin of plus-10 over the last five.
The odds are pretty good that the streak will continue when Philly heads to Minnesota.
Nick Foles Flourishes In The Face Of Adversity - Geoff Mosher, CSNPhilly.com
“Of course, playing in this kind of environment, you learn a lot. Having the ability to go out there and throw in the snow with all of that definitely made me mature as a player. I’ve done it [now], so now if we ever face that again I will be better equipped than I was before playing this game.” - Nick Foles
