The Dallas Cowboys are now leading the NFC East, but that doesn’t mean we should start making playoff plans for January. There is still a lot of work to do, but it’s satisfying to see this team on the right track. The Cowboys are riding a three-game winning streak, but will now host the hottest team in the NFL - the New Orleans Saints, who have won 10 games in a row. The Saints have the top-scoring offense in the league, averaging 37.2 points a game. Just to give you an idea of how potent that offense is - they are putting up more points on average than the 16-0 New England Patriots of 2007. The Saints have a real shot to break the record for the most points scored in a regular season.

We are well aware of the challenge facing the Cowboys and it has some people already preparing for a possible “L” against Nawlins.

If the Eagles lose and the #Cowboys beat the Commanders, they can "absorb" a possible loss to the Saints before hosting a broken Eagles team.

Yes, the team can beat the Saints. The offense is clicking and have been steadily improving since the addition of Cooper. The offense can methodically pound on a team with the running game or score in chuck plays quickly. The O-line have shown that they can handle adversity.

The defense looks elite on each level. The D-line rotation looks impressive with the bookends of D-law and Gregory and if Taco can return he will provide needed depth. Crawford plays great along the entire front and is the guiding force on the line. Jaylon and "Wolf Hunter" have been special the last few games and they each look explosive and glide sideline-to-sideline. I love the corners of Jones, Brown, Chidobe, and Lewis. These four corners play great tight coverage. I also love that Heath and Woods have excelled over the last few game.

Yes, the team can win. If they don't it will be a great measuring stick to where the team stands.

Dallas needs to control its own destiny for a change instead of depending on others to lose. No they can not "absorb" a loss to NO at home and expect a playoff position. If JG even mentions this philosophy or hypothesis or possibility in the locker room, we're done for. This is the sort of thinking that's been the problem w this organisation. If Dallas can't do what needs to be done now, they won't be able to do what needs to be done later. WIN OUT or expect another 8-8 year.

That 9-7 NY Giants team beat that 16-0 NE Patriots team in the Superbowl that year.

They did it with their tandem of pass rushers.

We have a tandem in Lawrence and Gregory plus from LB Jaylon Smith.

If Irving plays he can bring it right up the middle too.

If they are going to have a chance we can't give up multiple 3rd down conversions to brees every drive.....if I recall correct our defense is in the bottom 5 in the NFL at getting off the field on 3rd downs

There’s always a chance. Any given Sunday.

Who knows, NO may have a serious off day and the Cowboys could play the best game of their lives or vice versa.

We’ll find out next week.

Logic suggests there's almost always a chance.

Though, it's probably not a very good one.

I put our odds at about the same as the entire NO team getting good poisoning right before kickoff, making them play the entire first half with doodoo in their pants.

Of course they CAN win. But it is rather unlikely. We'd need to have a perfect game, and have Brees make sure few mistakes which we take advantage of.

The Saints are 10-1 for a reason.

There's always a chance to pull out a "W," no matter what the odds suggest. The Dallas defense is peaking at the right time to surprise some of those who consider them an outside chance to be playoff contenders. Although this team has work to do before arriving at a championship mindset, anything can and often does happen. If this C-boys team shows up with their best game next Thursday night, it's quite possible for them to "shock the world." Dallas actually needs to play "balls to the wall" to accomplish that. I fervently hope they'll do just that. I'm betting you do too! ;)

I really do not have a clue.

This team is a different team each week.

Very Jekyll and Hyde.

I wonder who they will be against the Saints.?

Coaching prevents us from winning games like these......if we come out aggressive and happen to actually get the lead Garrett slams on the brakes and switches to play not to lose instead of continuing to do what got the lead to begin with.........and heaven forbid we get into another 4th and 1 situation.....Garrett is so clueless as to what to do whichever decision he makes would be the wrong one..........and that's coming from someone that has been around some of the best in the business literally his entire life.

The Saints beat the Browns by 3 and the Ravens by 1.

So can we beat them? Absofinglutely...

It took an epic collapse by the Browns FG kicker to choke that game away to the Saints. They have lived a charmed life this season in some ways.

This has been the Achilles Heel of the defense all year. They get sacks. They get tackles for a loss. Now they’re even creating turnovers. But they can’t seem to get off the field on third down, especially third and long.

They have to make Brees uncomfortable.

To me it’s as simple as making it to halftime with a close score or even a lead. Then you have a chance to shorten the game to a few key drives and/or defensive stops.
