BTB: Can the Cowboys beat the Saints?

This has been the Achilles Heel of the defense all year. They get sacks. They get tackles for a loss. Now they’re even creating turnovers. But they can’t seem to get off the field on third down, especially third and long.

They have to make Brees uncomfortable.

Yeah....the sacks and big plays always seem to come on 1st and 2nd down.:..

Odds arent in Dallas favor, but it IS possible..haha

The nfl is all about matchups. In order to beat the saints you have to be able to stop the run, pressure brees with 4 guys, and have someone who can cover micheal thomas. Our defense checks all of those boxes. You also have to be able to run side to side because the saints will do a bunch of different things and get creative to try and beat you.

Offensively the saints defense has been good, but they can be scored upon. Their defense takes advantage when you end up playing catch up.


Can we win. On paper i really believe so. However if the game comes down the coaching, can our coaches (especially on offense) be the difference, i'm not sure.

Yes we can. Is it likely no, but it's much closer than people think. It might be 60-40 saints but we know the boys will keep it close so don't be surprised if it comes down to who has the ball last.

I don't know if I would call our D elite. the saints offense is definitely elite.

Yes, on any given Sunday anything can happen but NewOrleans is on a bigger roll than Dallas. I’m expecting Dallas to go 3-2 over the next 5 games with the Saints being one of those losses. Dallas with the 9-7 finish to win the East...

It’s possible, but the offense can’t afford any of their consecutive 3 & out slumps they keep getting into and they’ll have to score touchdowns, field goals are worthless.
