The Saturday slate of college football games.
This is an open thread for game chat.
Checking out the Top 25 schedule for Week 9 in college football presents some games between highly-ranked combatants.
The Big One
8:00 PM: 3 Clemson @ 12 Florida State ABC
This one has National Championship implications with Clemson trying to retain its #3 spot in the rankings to remain in the playoff seeding. Its tough to play at Florida State, especially now that their defense has gotten better after a rough patch midway through the season. Still, Clemson will prevail, by over 10 points.
Other Important Games
3:30 PM: 4 Washington @ 17 Utah FS1
Washington has come out of nowhere to be the surprise team of the season, climbing all the way to #4. This one also has National Championship implications. If the Huskies can get by Utah, they are set up to win out. In a tough battle, Washington wins by a field goal.
7:00 PM: 7 Nebraska @ 11 Wisconsin ESPN
Nebraska is hoping to keep its perfect record going and crash the National Championship playoff party. Wisconsin is no push-over because of their bruising defense. The Badgers prevail in a nail-biter.
