Just when we thought the Cowboys were done with free agency until after the draft...

Things had been so quiet on the free agency front since Dallas signed Henry Melton you could be excused for thinking they were done. Apparently, they still have some interest. According to the always-reliable Todd Archer, the Cowboys brought in free agent guard Davin Joseph for a visit earlier in the week. Joesph was once a very good guard in this league with two Pro Bowls to his credit. But last year he played horribly for the Bucs after trying to recover from major knee surgery. He's also 30-years-old, so his career is likely on the downside.

If you talk to Bucs fans about Joseph, they'll tell you he's a great guy, solid locker room presence, and before the knee injury was a great player. But they soured on him after he turned in a disastrous 2013 season and he was scheduled to receive $6 million this season. They project him only as a backup at this stage of his career. That's why he's currently available as a free agent.

Dallas will also work out a wide receiver on Thursday, LaRon Byrd, who most recently played for the Arizona Cardinals. He went undrafted out of the University of Miami in 2012.
