Another linebacker moving on.

The Dallas Cowboys will be losing another linebacker. Bruce Carter has agreed to a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers according to multiple reports.


#Bucs announced a 4-year deal for LB Bruce Carter, getting a bit more athletic. The former Cowboys is familiar with the scheme of course.

The Cowboys have now lost two linebackers in the early days of free agency. Justin Durant moved on to the Atlanta Falcons and now Carter is going to the Bucs. With the Bucs running Lovie Smith's version of the same defense that Rod Marinelli has installed in Dallas, it should be a pretty easy transition for Carter. He leaves behind an up and down career in Dallas where he flashed incredible athletic ability, but could never achieve the consistency that the Cowboys wanted from him. He did finish the 2014 season with five interceptions, some of those to close out games.

Carter was a second-round pick in the 2011 draft out of North Carolina.
