The latest we're hearing about free agency and the Cowboys.
There is still nothing concrete on DeMarco Murray and his adventures in free agency. The Cowboys have made it clear that they are willing to wait on the market to be set on Murray. Stephen Jones has made it sound like Murray will give the Cowboys a chance to match any offer, but that's always risky. If someone offers Murray a bundle of money, he might just take it. That team might be the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have a ton of money to spend. OCC noted this in his news post from this morning.
Now, reports from Adam Caplan and Charles Robinson, respectively, have Jacksonville chasing Broncos tight end Julius Thomas and Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray. Thomas is the 12th-ranked player on our free agent big board while Murray checks in at No. 11, making them the two highest-ranked offensive skill players still available.
The Jags will sign Jermey Parnell tomorrow, looks like they would like to add DeMarco Murray, too.
When the legal tampering period opened, we noted that the Cowboys had interest in defensive tackle Stephen Paea. But it looks like the Cowboys methodical, wait-for-bargains approach won't work with Paea. He is set to sign with Washington.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the former Bears defensive tackle has told people that he will land with the Commanders when free agency launches Tuesday. The big-bodied, interior lineman has been on Washington's radar for weeks.
Brian Orakpo made a little news the other day when he said he wouldn't mind playing in Dallas, but he might be on his way to the Dirty South.
I'm hearing that Atlanta is the front runner for signing Brian Orakpo. #Falcons

Many Cowboys fans had hopes that the team might go after Eagles linebacker/defensive end Brandon Graham. It doesn't look like that will happen, either.
I'm told Brandon Graham has multiple offers and it's down to Philly and New York. #Eagles #Giants

And then there's the Adrian Peterson saga that continues on. The latest rumor is that the Cardinals are going to make a run at him, hoping to persuade the Vikings to trade him.
A source indicated after Darnell Dockett's release that the #AZCardinals were clearing cap space to make a run at RB Adrian Peterson.

This is backed up by Charles Robinson.
No, but if Adrian Peterson is dealt, this is his top preference. RT @jabby285: @CharlesRobinson Any word on what the cardinals are doing?

Charles Robinson also tweeted that San Diego is another preferred place for Peterson.
.@ratnavale07 Not sure yet. But Adrian Peterson also likes #Chargers (if #Vikings move him).
