Dallas' official draft picks in the 2016 draft.
You would think that finalizing the draft order in the NFL is an easy process. But it actually takes the NFL a while to do it, with compensatory picks and teams being docked picks for various transgressions. Today, the NFL released the finalized, official draft order for the upcoming draft. As a reminder, the draft will take place on the following dates and times.
The first round will begin at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28. The second and third rounds are set for Friday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) followed by rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 30 at 12:00 PM ET.
The Cowboys ended up with nine picks. Here are their spots in the draft order.

4-37-135 Dallas (Compensatory Selection)
6-14-189 Dallas from Oakland

6-41-216 Dallas (Compensatory Selection)
6-42-217 Dallas (Compensatory Selection)
The Cowboys gave up a fifth-round pick to the Raiders in the Brice Butler trade, but got back a sixth-round pick. They also gave up a sixth-round pick to the 49ers to pick up Geoff Swaim last year, and a seventh-round pick to the Seahawks for Christine Michael.
