It's the dreaded "I" word, modified by the dreaded "H" word. Yes, a hamstring injury is likely going to cause first-round pick Ezekiel Elliott to miss some time. He came up lame yesterday, tweaking the hamstring and today the Cowboys said they were going to be very careful with this particular injury.
S. Jones also updated Zeke's hamstring. Said he's sore, & Cowboys will be very conservative with him. Jones added "he may miss some time."

UPDATE: ESPN reports a team source has said it will likely be about a week that Elliott will be sidelined.
We all know how hamstring issues, especially for the skill players, can be nagging, reoccurring nightmares, so it's best for the Cowboys to shut Zeke down until they can get it fully under control. Jones also said the Cowboys probably won't sign another running back because RB/FB hybrid Rod Smith can help with the rotation at camp.
In other injury news, the Cowboys will monitor Kyle Wilber who tweaked his back in yesterday's practice. The Cowboys are off today so we'll have to wait until Thursday to see if he'll start missing practices.
Also, other teams are very interested in talking to the Cowboys about their backup QB plans now that Kellen Moore is out.
Stephen Jones says he's received a number of calls from other clubs re: backup QB. Cowboys are looking at all angles -- free agency or trade
