Depth on the offensive line is a need for Dallas, they are looking at free agent targets.

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t done window shopping for potential free agent signings, and today they brought in Byron Bell for a visit. Bell is a veteran offensive lineman who has plenty of NFL experience. He last played for the Tennessee Titans but missed last season with a dislocated ankle. He played with the Carolina Panthers before the Titans and has over 72 starts in his career, and has experience playing guard or tackle. He played right tackle for the Panthers and was fairly successful in that role for a while.

Bell is still relatively young in the NFL game as he’s only 28 years old. He’s also a very big lineman, standing 6’ 5” and weighing 340 pounds. His starting experience, his age and his flexibility to play guard or tackle make him an intriguing prosepect.

The Cowboys lost left guard Ron Leary in free agency and right tackle Doug Free is retiring. La’el Collins would be an obvious choice to fill one of those roles, but a player like Bell would offer nice insurance if Chaz Green is not the answer at right tackle.

Bell has also reportedly visited the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers.
