Here is the best from the Cowboys Camp practice from day one in Oxnard.
The Dallas Cowboys first practice of 2017 training camp took place today and to quote Jason Garrett, the Dallas “Football” Cowboys are now focused in preparation for the season.

Information is still being gathered but it seems as though the Cowboys are done with Lucky Whitehead. A warrant was issued for his arrest for an incident that apparently took place at a Virginia convenience store. The Cowboys also have dealt with multiple issues with him including being deactivated for a game in 2016. Lucky’s luck in Dallas has run out.
A source has just confirmed #Cowboys WR Lucky Whitehead has been cut.#WFAACowboys

Welp. That escalated quickly. Here is the backstory on former #Cowboys WR Lucky Whitehead's wild day: pic.twitter.com/dg0FG1Vsdz

Of course, there is conflicting information about his arrest and whether it was actually him, check out Tom Ryle’s article for more.
One of the more exciting things to watch will be how Dak Prescott grows in his second year with the Dallas Cowboys. There is no Tony Romo at a Cowboys’ camp for the first time in 14 seasons, it’s all about Dak Prescott now.

Of course, perhaps the best player on the team has also been on the wrong side of news reports as of late. However, Ezekiel Elliott is ready to get practicing and putting all of this behind him.

Even though everyone is excited about the second-year performances from their star rookies of a year ago, it’s all about the offensive line. The Cowboys’ offensive line is the very best the NFL has to offer and they are as consistent as ever:
And now, for some important observations from the great O.C.C.; here’s your starting defense right now:
98 96 92 90 are your starting D-line

After a long offseason, it’s great to see Geoff Swaim back on the field and ready for practice:

We have a Jaylon Smith sighting and our very own Landon McCool witnessed Smith making a play:
Sure looked like 54 was quick enough to me on that swing pass

Looking at the linebackers, there is no better guy to follow than the man that wear’s the number 50:
It is unreal how fast Sean Lee moves. Dude isn't human.

It's only a walkthrough but Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee brings one speed. He's intense... https://t.co/2t1h2SZTxT pic.twitter.com/fWPT1VsirA

Our man RJ Ochoa already with some shade thrown at a former Cowboys’ receiver:
Ryan Switzer made a nice catch low to the ground. Got some cheers. I think people have moved on from Lucky.
— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) July 24, 2017
I was at camp the day Quincy Carter got cut and we got Romo, Lucky cut and let's hope Switzer is a dude.

David Helman’s favorite part of practice is the stretching because he loves to hear what the playlist is going to be:
This Cowboys’ fan has the right idea about clever signage for training camp practice:

Someone who was not at Cowboys training camp was the third-round pick, Jourdan Lewis. He was back in Ann Arbor, Michigan dealing with a domestic violence accusation from before he was drafted:

Cornerback is a spot where the battles will be the most interesting. Despite having veterans like Orlando Scandrick, Anthony Brown, and Nolan Carroll, nothing is settled. The Cowboys also spent four draft picks on the secondary:
Here are a few more tweets about Jaylon Smith, get excited about any positive news you hear about the young linebacker:
That guy wearing No. 54 is moving pretty damn good.

The offense was red-hot to end the regular season in 2016, part of the reason was these two right here:

Jason Garrett preaches that high-intensity practices are important, here are a few more action shots of the defense:
Intensity already high at .. pic.twitter.com/7t6tE8OiaD
— Dallas Cowboys (@dallascowboys) July 24, 2017
Speaking of intense people, we have our first sighting of the G.O.A.T., Jeff Heath:
How about another sighting of the partner to Jeff Heath on the backside:
There will be no pads until Wednesday’s practice for those that are curious. For the most part, day one was individual and team drills in shorts:
Cowboys are going through group drills. Offense won't face defense during today's practice. Helmets but no pads
— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) July 24, 2017
It’s important to note that only two players were not practicing today:
I know it's a non-padded practice, but it feels worth noting that Justin Durant & Richard Ash are the only guys not doing football stuff.
— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 25, 2017
The story of the day besides all the Lucky Whitehead mess has got to be how Jaylon Smith continues to look explosive in these drills:

You should always remember that these are just drills against air.
But it's hard not to like what we are being told.
— Tom Ryle (@TomRyleBTB) July 24, 2017
If there is something Jaylon Smith still can't do, nobody at camp saw it today.
