Here are all your highlights from the third day of Cowboys’ training camp.

The Dallas Cowboys finally put the pads on to signal their first padded practice of the year. From Jaylon Smith to Taco Charlton, here are all the highlights from the Cowboys first time in their armor.

First up, Jaylon Smith is in pads people and he dominated the story lines for Wednesday’s practice:

It’s incredible to finally see Jaylon making contact with other players, though he’s in a modified brace, you can’t help but get excited:

Cowboys will watch Smith closely & modify what he does in practices as they go. Conditioning is watched 1st padded practice 18 months.

Poor O.C.C., his pet cat, Mark Nzeocha, just can’t get on the field:

53 no pads.

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere https://t.co/8Beef5uUyh

Ryan Switzer was getting some work in special teams drills:

While Tyrone Crawford gets a veteran day off, Taco Charlton steps into the first-team:

With Tyrone Crawford not practicing today, Taco Charlton will be working with the first team defense at left DE

In pass rush drills, La'el Collins had little trouble containing Taco Charlton.

If it doesn’t work out for these guys in the NFL, maybe they could make a heck of a run in the WWE.

Dak Prescott had himself quite a day at practice, here he is hooking up with Terrance Williams:

Dak on the read option. People loved it. Because it was super sick. pic.twitter.com/vDAJIuV9ET

In the first individual compete period of practice the Cowboys offense won all three matchups. Dak Prescott... https://t.co/XdQZBWjDvq

Here are few highlight videos from the compete period, pretty much everyone’s favorite thing to watch:

Andy Jones is fighting for a roster spot, here he is going one-on-one with Sammy Seamster:

Obviously, the story of the day is still Jaylon Smith and his abilities, this time he’s in full team drills:

Cowboys don't have Jaylon Smith participating in 7-on-7 drills so far.

— Brandon George (@DMN_George) July 27, 2017

It was “almost” a catch for Geoff Swaim:

As Nate Newton would say, here goes the President, Zack Martin:

Benson Mayowa was back in practice and lucky Benson gets to call 77 up to the plate:

He wasn’t the only unlucky soul as so did Damontre Moore:

DE Damontre Moore is picking LT Tyron Smith's brain after going against each other in pass rush drills.

The offensive linemen were definitely winning the majority of their battles:

Chaz Green with 2 quality reps in one-on-one vs Paea. Second ended with Paea on the ground and Green on top

— Derek Eagleton (@derekeagleton) July 27, 2017

As practice began to wear down, so did the offense, some good wins came for the defensive side of the ball:

Late in practice: first, second and third team offense getting sloppy in team drills. Four fumbles. ... Good sign for the defense

— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) July 27, 2017

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

Takeaways are a big part of Cowboys defense. So far forced three fumbles and got two of them.

Let’s just say Jason Witten wasn’t happy about the offensive struggles at the end of practice:

Probably the most frustrated player on the field for Cowboys is Jason Witten, who isn't practicing. Just pacing around behind players.

— Brandon George (@DMN_George) July 27, 2017

There was a bit of a scare when Maliek Collins went back with the trainers but he seems to be okay:

— Joe Trahan (@JoeTrahan) July 27, 2017

Charles Tapper also got a little dinged up but he returned too:

Charles Tapper is in at left end with the 3rd defense, so I assume his ankle issue isn't too serious.

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

We also had our first scrum toward the end of practice, it’s only a good sign of aggression and competitive drive:

Things getting a little chippy between Taco Charlton and Dan Skipper. Teammates had to step in

— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) July 27, 2017

Little extracurricular activity between Taco Charlton and Dan Skipper. Nothing too serious, but Taco seemed displeased.

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

All in all, it was a competitive day at practice for a lot of guys. Let’s just hope the two dinged up defensive linemen are going to be fine.

Padded practice No. 1 is over. Jaylon did some encouraging stuff. Need to find out Maliek Collins' status. Offense had some turnover issues.

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

Here’s Ezekiel Elliott doing his thing to close us out:
