Here are all the highlights from the fourth day of Cowboys’ training camp.

The Cowboys had a second padded practice today out in Oxnard, California. Fresh off a ‘not guilty’ verdict, Jourdan Lewis is back with the squad:

Just an update on Maliek Collins, who seemed to have tweaked something yesterday. He did not participate today:

DT Maliek Collins (hip flexor) is not practicing but DE Charles Tapper (cramps) is. Stephen Paea working at Collins spot with 1st team.

Right before practice, our very own RJ Ochoa spent some time with the man in charge, Stephen Jones:

Stephen Jones says when Dak put together 5, 6, 7 last year that that was about when he knew Tony Romo wasn't returning. Called it high-hand.

Stephen Jones tells us on @ESPN_SA that he believes the Cowboys have more talent on defense today than they did this time a year ago.

— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) July 27, 2017

Well, that was fast, newly-signed running back Ronnie Hillman is in pads and will be number 37:

After three days of practice, the Cowboys will be putting the breaks on Jaylon Smith for today:

Jaylon Smith is not in pads today. Looks like it could be a rest day after practicing three straight days.

After spending a veteran's day off, the guy in his 15th year put the pads back on:

It looks as though Dak and Dez are working on something that made Tony Romo and Bryant lots of cheddar:

Dak Prescott just found Dez Bryant on a nice fade. Seen that a few times this week. Is the fade the new back shoulder?!

When you are at the bottom of the roster, this is a good way to get noticed:

Sean Lee has made a declaration that takeaways are coming:

Thankfully O.C.C. is here to keep everything civil among those that get out of hand:

Keep in mind that these 11-on-11 drills are conducted at 3/4 speed (at best) so the next time you hear that a CB got "burned" ... relax.

— One Cool Customer (@OCC44) July 27, 2017

How much you want to bet that this was his favorite thing to tweet today?

Mark Nzeocha is in pads and practicing.

With Ezekiel Elliott, Darren McFadden, Alfred Morris, and Ronnie Hillman, that's a pretty full running back room:

However, we need to relax on thinking this has much to do with Elliott, we've been assured this has little to do with a looming suspension:

Alright, calm down Andy Jones, they want speed but don't run out your cleats:

Dak Prescott has looked much sharper in his second year at training camp, here he is hooking it up with Gold Jacket Witt:

As was mentioned yesterday, QB Zac Dysert had season-ending back surgery, keep in mind the Cowboys will be looking for a quarterback. There are rumors that they have worked out former Baylor star Seth Russell:

Almost a hookup between Dak and Jones, Marquez White on the coverage:

We have our first defensive penalty on Byron Jones trying to cover Witten:

This defense has been performing quite well and they got a few wins today:

Oh SNAP! We got a pick-six off of Dak Prescott by Anthony Brown:

CB Anthony Brown just picked off a Dak Prescott pass after a run fake to Zeke.

— Brandon George (@DMN_George) July 27, 2017

Shake it off OB1, which is exactly what he did:

After getting picked off by Anthony Brown, Dak comes back with a 20-yard completion to Dez across the middle.

3 consecutive plays in team drills: Dak Prescott interception (Anthony Brown), completed pass to Dez Bryant, fumbled shotgun snap

This may be the funniest tweet of the day regarding Ryan Switzer:

Watching literally anybody try to tackle Ryan Switzer is like an episode of Tom & Jerry

— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) July 27, 2017

Keep your eyes peeled for anything in regards to Switzer, he got a little banged up today:

Ryan Switzer is down nursing what looks like his hamstring after a really nice catch and run. Trainers looking at him.

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

Switzer seemed to be favoring his hamstring before the trainers walked him off. pic.twitter.com/b7VlrwHywY

— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) July 27, 2017

Ryan Switzer walked off with the athletic training staff and headed to the medical tent. Not sure what happened. Wasn't noticeably limping.

— Rob Phillips (@robphillips3) July 27, 2017

Ryan Switzer heading to the medical tent

— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) July 27, 2017

Switzer didn't return to practice. Jason Garrett talks soon, and I imagine he'll have some sort of update. https://t.co/4xcPI8fzo3

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

For the second straight day, practice got a little chippy towards the end:

Offensive and defensive lines getting chippy. The sun is bright out here. pic.twitter.com/dzycbDPnFa

— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) July 27, 2017

OL vs. DL 1-on-1 still chippy. Was more shoving. Tyrone Crawford a lot of chirping ... pic.twitter.com/NjPf4uOlux

— Brandon George (@DMN_George) July 27, 2017

Now Ruben Carter and Damontre Moore get into it.

— Kate Hairopoulos (@khairopoulos) July 27, 2017

OL 1-on-1 vs. DL shoving starts with Damontre Moore in the mix: pic.twitter.com/UJOfIY4q3y

— Brandon George (@DMN_George) July 27, 2017

Third tussle of the day for the offensive and defensive lines. None led to what I'd call a fight, but this one definitely was the closest.

— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) July 27, 2017

Not one but two different scuffles between the OL & DL during 1v1 reps. Think they're getting into it over there.

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 27, 2017

There's been at least three scrums between the OL and DL in pass rush drills. Feisty in Day 2 of pads.

— Todd Archer (@toddarcher) July 27, 2017

Ol’ Jerrah loves himself some competition:

One scuffle between O-line and D-line spilled onto the sidelines near Jerry Jones and his guests. The Cowboys owner/GM seemed to enjoy it

— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) July 27, 2017

He also had some words of encouragement for a young pass rusher, did the Cowboys snag themselves a potential beast with Moore?

Damontre Moore told by Jerry Jones after practice he liked what he saw today: pic.twitter.com/d812mGwiXq

— Brandon George (@DMN_George) July 27, 2017

Damontre Moore said Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones seemed to like the extra fire in practice today.

— Kate Hairopoulos (@khairopoulos) July 27, 2017

Overall, the defense won another day of battle which won’t happen too often against an offense like the Cowboys’:

Despite offsides on defense, Chido makes another play in coverage with nice INT near sideline. Made plays yesterday and today.

— Derek Eagleton (@derekeagleton) July 27, 2017

Broaddus says that Xavier Woods has had some standout moments too:

In 1on1 he had a really nice snap covering James Hanna when he knocked the ball away. https://t.co/g0hm3EHdo8

— Bryan Broaddus (@BryanBroaddus) July 27, 2017

Day 2 in pads comes to an end and the Cowboys defense had three takeaways. Anthony Brown and Mark Nzeocha... https://t.co/Ec09TsW3Kn

— Todd Archer (@toddarcher) July 27, 2017

Well, much like yesterday, pads on pads brings out the inner beasts in guys. It was chippy and aggressive but that’s how these coaches like it. We will continue to monitor the situation with Ryan Switzer once more information is gathered.

As always, stay tuned to BTB for any training camp updates! Here are two last shots of Zeke and Dak taking care of the fans! By far the fan favorites of camp:
