This combination would help the Cowboys immediately in 2016 and beyond.

For about two months now, it's been almost impossible to figure out who the Dallas Cowboys will select with their first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Some options all along have been Joey Bosa, Jalen Ramsey, Ezekiel Elliott, Myles Jack, Carson Wentz, and Jared Goff. But with the latest trades atop the draft, the probability of the Cowboys drafting a quarterback has gone down tremendously. And with the news of Jack's latest medical recheck, it looks as if the Cowboys are deciding between three players: Bosa, Ramsey, or Elliott.

Taking a look at this, their biggest need is the defensive end spot. With the four-game suspensions to Randy Gregory and a possible one for DeMarcus Lawrence, the Cowboys, as of now, could be relying on Benson Mayowa, Jack Crawford, and Ryan Russell to take on each snap. However, just because the Cowboys' biggest need is defensive end they still need to get contributors in each round, but they need to get guaranteed production from their first two picks. Here's my pick for the Cowboys in round one and two.

First Round, 4th Overall: Jalen Ramsey, Cornerback/Safety, Florida State

With the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles trading up, top quarterbacks Goff and Wentz will be off the board. With that happening, it could very well mean that Ramsey will fall to the Cowboys' fourth-overall pick. There is a chance that the San Diego Chargers select Ramsey and if that happens, the Cowboys could figure out things from there, but the general consensus believes that Ramsey will be available for the taking when the Cowboys pick rolls around.

Ramsey is one of the most intriguing players in the draft. Because offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil isn't on the Cowboys' board, there's a high chance that Ramsey is actually the top player on the Cowboys' board. If that is the case, it would make all the sense in the world to bring in Ramsey. At 6' 1", 205 pounds, Ramsey has the body that is needed to perform at the NFL level. He's a smart defensive back who has the true makings of a ball-hawk type of player.

It's yet to be determined whether he'd play cornerback or safety, but by adding a guy like Ramsey to this secondary, it could give the Cowboys the opportunity to get some coverage sacks. Dallas' depleted pass rush will need better production from the secondary. If the Cowboys draft Ramsey, they'll be getting a starter and a guy who can immediately improve this defense. If Ramsey ends up being a cornerback, the Cowboys would have a decent rotation at the position. If he ends up being a safety, the Cowboys could have a rangy, young duo in Ramsey and Byron Jones.

Second Round, 34th Overall: Jonathan Bullard, Defensive End, Florida

If you look at some of the defensive ends Dallas has added in recent years (Lawrence, Gregory, Mayowa, Russell), all of these players show the ability to be the first ones off the ball when it's snapped. Dallas loves guys that get off the ball well, Bullard has that ability .

The Cowboys would be wise to add a guy as unique as Bullard if he's still availble. The Florida product is exceptional at getting through gaps and getting in the backfield. He's extremely intelligent and he does an excellent job at using his low center of gravity to push back opposing lineman and make plays in the backfield.

By adding Bullard, the Cowboys would add yet another young option in the pass rush. By coming to Dallas, Bullard would get a chance to work with Rod Marinelli and Leon Lett. If he can learn some more pass-rushing moves to go with his NFL-ready frame, Bullard could become an impact player, producing from both the defensive tackle spot and the defensive end spot.

I think Ramsey, Bosa, or EE is a lock if no trade down. I like their pick in the 2nd but I'm hoping for a trade up to take Lynch. A DE or CB at the top of the 2nd would be great. Mackensie outta Clemson could fall to us.

I am not sold on the Lynch pick, but would support it if taken, I guess like you I still hold some hope that we see some sparkle of talent with the QB's not of the first round because after the first two picks the talent cache is backup material IMO. I think EE with this line would be wonderful, but IMO the reason we have this great Oline is to take advantage of less than hall of fame talent at running back and use those assets in other positions. Honestly I could even get behind Tunsil as the first pick, but agree that Ramsey and Bosa seem to be the most viable choices with less than a week to go. If Bosa gets taken we need a defensive back next, if Ramsey is chosen than defensive line in the second. I think the theme of this draft should be to take care of the defensive line and certainly come away with at least one or two of the supreme pool of talent. Adding in an equally gifted CB or DE would be the frosting on this cake. This draft has been difficult for me to realize a pet cat and I feel like I am up on my evaluations might be the viable players list that would help us is so large. Like most I look forward to Thursday night and our pick.
Listing some of my former first rd mock picks to show my pedigree.
Chance Warmack, Jonathan Cooper, Aaron Donald, David DeCastro, Michael Brockers, oh I am so proud of this one RB from AR Darren McFadden whom I advocated trading up to get.

Who says that Tunsil isn't on the Cowboys draft board?

Did I miss something?
