Dallas was extremely busy on the second day of free agency, bringing in a fourth player, Damontre Moore.
The second day free agent signings reached four for the Dallas Cowboys as they have also added defensive end Damontre Moore, per Todd Archer of ESPN.
Add another to the list of Cowboys deals: defensive end Damontre Moore, a former third-round pick, has agreed to... https://t.co/4szgZInq32

Unlike the previous additions, Moore looks to be something of a reclamation project for the Cowboys. They worked him out last year but he was not signed, and later went to the Seattle Seahawks where he only had a half a sack. The Texas A&M product started his NFL career as a third-round selection by the New York Giants, and he also spent some time with the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders in the 2016 offseason, but was cut by both before the regular season. It is also important to note that he was cut by the Giants after a scuffle with a teammate. Also very troubling is his DWI arrest in late 2016, which probably was a driving factor in his not being re-signed by the Seahawks.
Moore never lived up to his pre-draft expectations, accumulating only 10 sacks in his four years in the league so far, and he is coming off a foot injury near the end of last season while he was with Seattle. He is one player whose place with the team next fall is far from assured. His signing is definitely another example of the team filling holes prior to the draft, and with the wealth of pass rush talent coming out of college, he will have to earn his way onto the 53-man roster. Terms of his deal are not yet known.
