It may be small moves, but Dallas has reached out into the free agent market for a defensive tackle and defensive end.
The Cowboys have made two moves to bolster a very thin defensive line. But, it's not a big name like Henry Melton, it's small names, defensive tackle Terrell McClain, formerly with Houston. And DE Jeremy Mincey.
Cowboys have signed DT Terrell McClain to a 3-year deal. Played with Houston last year.

Dallas and McClain agreed on a three-year deal today. No word on the dollar value of the deal yet. McClain was signed for the minimum with the Texans, making $555,000 last year and $465,000 the years before. McClain was drafted out of South Florida in the third round by the Panthers. I asked a writer from Battle Red Blog for a quick report on McClain:
He was a backup nose tackle, never really got on the field. Played well in pre-season snaps but it's tough to say how he'll do in Dallas. I would bet it's a depth signing. He's not as quick twitch as a prototypical 3-tech, and not as stout against the run as a prototypical nose tackle, but he had a nice blend of both that made him a decent nose in Wade's system. You know how he always liked the under sized guys there. If I had to bet that put him as a cocked nose in your system since he isn't the all-world three technique they want there. So I guess what I'm really saying is that no, this won't stop Jerry Jones from taking Aaron Donald at the earliest possible opportunity.
Dallas will also sign DE Jermey Mincey.

Jermey Mincey is a 30-year-old defensive end, listed at 6-4, 265 pounds. He was originally drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round in 2006, moved to the 49ers that same year and was signed off the 49ers practice squad by the Jaguars later that year.
He played his first game for the Jaguars in 2007, played in 64 games and started in 40 of them for Jacksonville from 2007-13, collecting 20 sacks in the process. He was released by the Jaguars in December last year and picked up by the Broncos.
Mincey can play both end positions, but saw limited action in Jacksonville last year, where he played only 263 snaps. He added 60 snaps for the Broncos at the end of the season. And those 60 snaps include 18 snaps played for the Broncos in the Super Bowl, which makes Mincey the only Cowboys with Super Bowl experiience.
