Last week, when it was determined that Miles Austin's hamstring could lead to him missing the game against the Chargers, the significance of that was kind of dismissed (that includes by me). It wasn't because I thought Austin's talents were not significant, it was that I thought the Cowboys had enough skill-player weapons to withstand his absence. This week, there can be no underestimating his importance with the Broncos coming to town. The Cowboys need all of their weapons available. Alas, Miles wasn't at practice today and that will lead to another few days of speculation until he either practices or is declared out. Pray for Austin's hammy, Cowboys Nation, we really do need him this week.

Also missing is Geroge Selvie and his situation is highly-troubling for this week. Selvie suffered a concussion at the end of the Chargers game and teams are very reluctant to play guys the following week after they've suffered a diagnosed concussion. There are stringent test hurdles and timelines that must be followed before a player can return. Selvie's absence would leave an already thin defensive line deeper in trouble. Against Peyton Manning, that's not what Dallas needs. They'll be looking at Kyle Wilber or Edgar Jones to start if Selvie can't go.

Justin Durant was the other player to miss practice with a groin injury. DeMarcus Ware will practice some this week and will play, but they'll be cautious with him at practices like last week.
