The Cleveland standout corner has been released.
The Cleveland Browns have released cornerback Joe Haden. The Browns had been looking for a trade partner but when that failed to happen they went ahead and released the veteran. You can read all about Haden’s release at our sister site, Dawgs By Nature.
Haden was once one of the top corners in the game but injuries have robbed him of his last few seasons and the Browns decided to move on. So would the Cowboys be interested in taking a shot on Haden? According to Mike Fisher they would, but with that same caveat you always see, at the right price.

Adams Schefter notes two teams already showing strong interest.
Two teams expected to have strong interest in Joe Haden are the Saints and Chiefs.

With Haden’s skills, he’ll be signed quickly. The Cowboys certainly could use another quality corner, especially with the questions about Nolan Carroll’s play and possible suspension. But my guess is some team will overpay for Haden, shutting the Cowboys out who have been frugal with their free agent money recently. The Cowboys will likely stick with what they got and concentrate on coaching up the young rookies.
