The injury bug has hit the Dallas Cowboys and roster moves were required. Earlier we noted the Cowboys intention to sign defensive end Jarius Wynn which is something the Cowboys did this afternoon. To make room for Wynn the Cowboys released two players, defensive lineman David Cater and cornerback Chris Greenwood. The Cowboys also signed running back Davin Meggett to the practice squad, a spot that was opened when the Cowboys promoted Cameron Lawrence last week. So plenty of moves, but what do they mean if anything?
The Cowboys need help at defensive end and running back, so I would guess they plan to call up Meggett later in the week. Or, if they think they can get by with just Joseph Randle and Phillip Tanner, they might make another move along the defensive line. With the comments lately from Jerry Jones, it doesn't seem likely the move would involve Jay Ratliff, and if they moved him to IR that would open up another spot on the 53-man roster. We'll have to wait and see.

If you want to learn more about Jarius Wynn, visit SB Nation blog, Bolts From The Blue. They have a film breakdown of him from last season, and add this conclusion:
Wynn was more useful on pass defense. He would provide an occasional disruption, and was able to get close to [Andrew] Luck a few times. The Chargers would be best served using him as a rotational guy on obvious passing downs. He has the potential to help makes plays there, but his difficulties on run defense would make using him more often than that troublesome.
