The Cowboys' defense may take another hit, as the arrest of Nolan Carroll for DWI could carry a two game suspension under current NFL rules.
Early Monday morning, Carroll was arrested for on a charge of suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Carroll has been somewhat of an afterthought when it comes to how a lot of fans see the cornerback depth shaping up. With three draft picks invested in that position, a lot of people are anxious to see the new guys in action. That time will come, but the rookies won't just be thrown into action. Last week in OTA's, Carroll was part of the starting cornerback group alongside Orlando Scandrick and Anthony Brown. The Cowboys coaches still see Carroll as a part of this group despite the young talent they have brought on board.

It’s currently unclear what Carroll’s arrest means going forward. But one way or another, it’s an added headache for a team that has faced questions about the cornerback position since last season ended.
The team also focused on the secondary with several of their other draft picks. Before they picked Lewis, they drafted Colorado corner Chidobe Awuzie in the second round. They also spent sixth-round picks on safety Xavier Woods and cornerback Marquez White.
As barren as the position looked earlier this spring, depth is no longer an issue in the Cowboys’ secondary – though off-field issues like Carroll’s certainly won’t help.

Bleacher Report goes on to say Jones and the Cowboys face "sky-high" expectations this season - Super Bowl or bust. Jones doesn't lack talent.
"The third-year pro has the athleticism and versatility that NFL defenses crave on the back end; the physicality to play safety and the speed to play corner," Davenport said.
